Port Vale have felt the need to apologise this week after an old tweet had resurfaced on Twitter.
The tweet, which was from three years ago, showed a photo of the League Two side’s owner standing alongside his helicopter on the Vale Park pitch with the tweet saying “Hi @OfficialFoxes. Our chairman is better than your chairman. #pvfc”

For some reason, a few football fans starting screenshotting it and you could make the club look bad.
Port Vale had picked up on the fact that their old tweet was getting a huge amount of reaction so they felt the need to apologise to those who was upset about it.
A tweet on our account has resurfaced tonight with reference to our chairman and the late @LCFC chairman.
Please be aware that this was tweeted 3 years ago. We apologise for any upset this may have caused. We stood and will always stand with @LCFC after that tragic incident.

Vale then received a huge amount of backing from well lets just say people with more brain cells, stating that the club rightfully did nothing wrong – take a look at what they’re saying in tweets on the next page.
