Police are on the search for burglars who broke into a property, assaulting Ikechi Anya and his mum over the weekend.
Concerning details have emerged of the break in, and the culprits are still on the loose, with police putting out a plea to try and help catch them.
Ikechi’s old brother, Chima Anya tweeted on Saturday: “Got some real bad news today, Ikechi was robbed…
“They took his #Watfordfc Chopard amongst other watches, my mum and him were in the house when they did.
“If people could circulate this would be grateful.” https://thamesvalley.police.uk/news/thames-valley/news/2024/june/24-06-24/appeal-for-witnesses-to-aggravated-burglary–kidlington/ #Oxford #Oxfordshire”
They are both doing as best as they can, but will no doubt be in huge shock at what happened, an invasion of their privacy.

POLICE STATEMENT:
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an aggravated burglary in Kidlington today (28/6).
At around 11am, two men armed with a Taser and a hammer broke into a property in Benmead Road.
They assaulted and threatened a man in his thirties and a woman in her sixties before stealing three watches, worth a total of £20,000.
The offenders then fled on a black motorcycle that they arrived on, which was not displaying index plates.
Both offenders were wearing motorcycle helmets and dark clothing but one was described as white and the other as mixed heritage background. One of them was carrying a dark-coloured rucksack.
The female victim suffered minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.
The stolen watches were a Chopard Classic Racing Superfast with the Watford FC badge and ‘April 2015’ engraved on it, a Hublot Classic Fusion Original Black Magic 33mm and a Rolex Oyster Perpetual 34mm black.
Investigating officer Detective Inspector Kate May, of the Priority Crime Team, said: “I understand this may be concerning for the community but there is nothing to suggest there is any wider threat to the public.
“We have an increased police presence in the area tonight and tomorrow, so please speak to a uniformed officer if you have concerns or questions.
“I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this aggravated burglary, the motorcyclists in the vicinity or has information about it to please get in touch.
“Also, if you have any CCTV footage or any dash-cam footage if you were in the area around the time, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.
“You can make a report by calling 101 or via our website, quoting reference number 43240305029.
“Alternatively, you can report information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
