A points deduction has been given to Sheffield United for first season back in the EFL, it was confirmed on Thursday afternoon.
Sheffield United are expected to begin the 2024/25 season, or whenever they will next play football in the Championship, on -2 points, with a further two points suspended until the end of that campaign.
This comes after the EFL found the club to have defaulted on a number of payments to other clubs during the 2022/23 season.
