PLAYER RATINGS: Cardiff 2-1 Brighton – Late winner sees Bluebirds out of bottom three

Cardiff City have claimed yet another three points thanks to a late winner from Bamba, to beat 10-men Brighton 2-1.

An action packed first 30 minutes saw two goals and a sending off. Lewis Dunk headed Brighton in front before Paterson nodded in an equaliser a little while later.

In the 34th minute, Seagulls’ Dale Stephens was shown a straight red for lunging in for the ball, pundits were left questioning whether it was harsh decision from the referee.

Towards the end of the season half it was all Cardiff and you could tell there might have been another goal to come. And so it did in the 90th minute when Sol Bamba smashed the ball into the back of the net.

The result means Cardiff are out of the bottom three for now, Brighton remain 12th.
