A pitch invader was dragged by stewards after clashing with Crystal Palace fans in the win against Zrinjski Mostar on Thursday night.

Just before Palace made it 2-0, the game was briefly stopped after a fan ran onto the pitch, and was stopped behind Karacic’s goal.

@Carlie_Ellen tweeted: “This was the pitch invader. He was sat in front of me singing Palace songs and talking loudly on his phone. He said into it “Alright, I’m coming over!” Threw his hood up, Nicely walked passed everyone and then jumped the barrier. No idea who he is. 🤷🏼‍♀️”

@hooliganscz1999 claimed a Crystal Palace hooligan (ADDO) tried attacking Crystal Palace ultras (HF05).

Goals from Maxence Lacroix and Evann Guessand ensured Crystal Palace’s European journey into the round of 16, where they will face AEK Larnaca.

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner speaking to TNT Sports: “It means a lot. We didn’t have easy weeks and therefore now having two back-to-back wins at Selhurst Park. “In three days we go to Old Trafford. We don’t just go there for a holiday to Manchester but hopefully to win.”

Asked if he had received any assurances about his future: “100% assurance. If the players believe in me and the staff, that’s the most important thing. Otherwise, you can pack your suitcase and go home because the players have to perform on the pitch. We have a great togetherness in the group – players, staff, really positive. The same with the sporting director and the chairman. They are sometimes wondering: ‘Hey, this is the second best Premier League season ever. The best was last year. So maybe the best two years in Crystal Palace’s history, playing European football for the first time – and there is so much noise?’ Sometimes we really don’t understand it.

“Maybe I gave some interviews that weren’t really helpful, I have to admit. But on the other side, I always say what I feel. Sometimes it’s positive, sometimes it’s not so positive. But that’s who I am.

“In the end, we are in a good position in the league and Conference League and so it’s up to us to get a result and make a real good season of it.”

Crystal Palace captain Dean Henderson, speaking to TNT Sports: “I don’t know what all the fuss is about! It’s a great night. We came into the game and wanted to put on a good performance. In fairness to them, they made it really difficult for us but we managed to get the goal before the break and the icing on the cake at the end, which was nice.”

On the prospect of winning the Conference League: “Obviously we’re hungry for me. I think it’s cliche to say, it’s the next game that matters. We can’t runaway with it. You don’t talk about winning three months out. There are some good teams left in the competition.”

Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix speaking to TNT Sports: “It is the prefect night for us. We are really happy to win this game. We were a little bit angry because of last week’s game. But in our house, we showed that we have the quality in this tournament, and we are really happy to win in front of fans.”
