Leeds United picked up a much needed three points at Deepdale last night as they managed to beat Preston North End 2-0, however Pontus Jansson’s determination showed as he managed to get a black and swollen eye during the game.
As mentioned by Onefootball, the Sweden international completed nine clearances, seven interceptions and six aerial duels on Tuesday night.
But he also ended up clashing heads with Preston striker Lukas Nmecha, resulting in the injury.

Teammate Mateusz Klich soon took to the Twitter post to poked fun at him, jokingly saying: “I wish Pontus could see this tweet.”
Jansson went on to complete the game before his eye closed up and will be now hoping for a speedy recovery so that he can feature for yet another crucial game for his side against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
It is reported that if he is not passed fit then it is likely Gaetano Berardi will step in.
For now, Leeds sit second in the Championship table, climbing above and go two points ahead of Sheffield United who take on Birmingham City on Wednesday night and five points behind Norwich City in first.
The defeat for Preston leaves them 11th and looking unlikely on getting a playoff spot, with some sides above them with games in hand and on a great run of results.
