The petition calling for Spurs to get a points deduction, for delaying the opening of their new stadium, quickly caught the eyes of much of the football world…
So every time people don’t like something we have to try and make Parliament listen. Everyone needs to get a grip and just move on. Lost the WC bid let’s start a petition, lost a game let’s start a petition. Lost UCL let’s start a petition ???

What’s the point in this? Spurs obviously have had issues with the stadium and its not finished yet… What would docking points (when it’s not even a footballing matter) do to rectify this? Why are people even bothered by this? I don’t get it at all.

Crazy. A major project like that is always high risk of delay. No point punishing the fans or the club further than the already significant impact of the delay causes them. If you signed the petition maybe you lack a hobby? ?

Some suggested Arsenal fans were responsible for much of the signatures…
10,000 signatures from Arsenal supporters, should we really be surprised by this?
Everyone knows they love a vote or poll, doesn’t matter if we end up getting a points deduction as we will still finish above them regardless of it.
Says how much they fear us they are doing this.

Desperation. It’s the only way Arsenal have any chance of finishing above Spurs. #pathetic

Imagine going from winning Premier League titles and the invincibles to needing a petition to have a chance of finishing above your rivals.
Parody of a football club. ?? https://t.co/zlIbF62NVH

Others laughed at how pathetic it was…
Utter rubbish, why should the manager, players and fans get punished, they are not at the ground with a hammer and hard hats on, the club maybe should get a fine but talk of point deduction is complete nonsense.
