Peterborough United mocked after they sack their manager

Peterborough United have this evening sacked their first team manager Steve Evans after his side’s 0-0 draw at home to promotion rivals Charlton Athletic.

Evans and his assistant Paul Raynor were released from their contract after just under an hour after the final whistle, with the club sitting in sixth place in League One, but with a worrying form.

PETERBOROUGH UNITED CLUB STATEMENT:

“The football club have issued the following statement.

“The football club wishes to announce that the manager Steve Evans and Assistant Manager Paul Raynor have been released from their contracts with immediate effect.

“We would like to thank both Steve and Paul for their efforts on behalf of the football club. We wish them and their families all the best for the future.”
