Peterborough Sports impress fans with FIVE signings who have plenty of experience

Peterborough Sports impress fans on social media, with FIVE signings who have plenty of experience to help them in their new tough league.

The Turbines, based in Cambridgeshire, are getting prepared to play in the highest tier of the club’s history, the National League North.

They finished as runners-up of the Southern League Premier Division Central in 2021–22, qualifying for the promotion playoffs. After beating Alvechurch in the semi-finals, the club defeated Coalville Town 2–0 in the final to earn promotion to step two.

Of course, it’s going to be yet another tough season for club’s in the division, and Peterborough Sports are making a name for themselves, showing they are ready and up for the challenge next season.

Manager Jimmy Dean announced on Monday that there would be four new players to announce, then another was added to the squad the following day. Here’s what he had to say…

The 1st new signing is playoff final hero @pete_crook1, he was a loan signing from @bostonunited last season & had a huge impact. Crooky was first name on the list for summer recruitment & I’m delighted it’s done. A big thank you to @louisefellows for help with this too.

“The 2nd new player is young CB @ConnorPeters02, who was a first year pro at @theposh after spending 11 years there before being released in the summer. He went out and got some valuable non-league experience last season & is an outstanding local prospect.

“Signing number 3 is @kaine_felix32. He is a proven player at the level having played for @bostonunited, @YorkCityFC (step 1) & most recently @GuiseleyAFC where he was club captain. Another 1 who lives in P’boro, 1 we’ve had our eyes on for years & a really good age.

“The 4th signing is @connor6kennedy. Connor is an proper player at the level & we’re delighted to have secured his services from @KTFCOfficial. He is another who captained his team last season, he’ll stand up in the tough moments, he’s a leader & he’ll be a top addition.

“The 5th signing is full back @NathanFox45. Foxy is another accomplished player at the level having won the league a couple of years ago with @officialKLtown. At @Buxton_FC last season he won another league title, he’s a great personality & will fit in perfectly at @PSLFC.”

As mentioned, Peterborough Sports impress fans with FIVE signings who have plenty of experience…

@Leasky_1_5: Peterborough Sports really are not fucking around are they 😳

@connor_thrower: They aren’t pissing around are they! Any chance @officialKLtown could actually keep fans informed?

@gdrury71: Made some unreal signings going straight back down not a chance well done all.

@nathanh: Best left back in non League, Go smash it Zid 🤩🤝

@ForDarlo: Some of the players Peterborough sports are signing are class like.

@y2Jtwo: Some quality signings and solid team retention-going to be an interesting season

@Backie9: Another good signing 😉

@linnet1976: Peterborough Sports making some good signings. Could have a decent season at step 2. Linnets, over to you…… 🤔

@up_utp: Absolutely no disrespect to Sports but when our club captain sees them as a more attractive option to play his football it tells me that all isn’t right at KTFC. No doubting Connor is a cracking player but thought when he left us it would be for a step up club wise

@Marvench3: What a day, love it

@martripp69: Get in been a massive fan and follower of Connor since he started at Corby. An absolute massive signing for us. Gives us to steel in the middle. Welcome to Sports Connor

@MapesLloyd: Sounds like you’ve bagged yourself a player here, roll on next season

@tylastrickland: Sports doing absolute bits can’t help but admire the ambition from the club we miss Connor at corby few red cards in there though 😉

@DannyWebb22 (Replying on @connor6kennedy): Unreal signing

@PaulHow19538679: Great signing, have followed Kaine’s career closely since he was at PUFC as a 10 year old with my son. Boys got pace and skills, perfect signing at a perfect time!

@GloverKevin: I recall seeing Felix play a game for Deeping and Guiseley, and stood out a country mile both times. Top signing 👍

@CliveJTaylor: Great signing for Sports, have watched most of his games at Guiseley before I moved to Stamford area. He is also a lovely lad, look after him.
