Paul Merson interrupts fellow Sky pundits with a number of random bizarre noises while reporting Man City’s win over Ipswich Town.

It’s fair to say Merse was beginning the frustrate his colleagues, rather rudely making all kinds of sounds in reaction to watching the thrilling first half at had been playing out at the Etihad.

And it wasn’t just those in the studio he annoying, as viewers watching on their devices took to complain and went as far as changing channel or switching off Soccer Saturday.

To be fair, the first one Merse did was understandable, much to the shock of everyone, Premier League new boys Ipswich took a surprise lead just seven minutes in as Sammie Szmodics trickled the ball across the line.

Merse, 56, produced an unusual scream with one Twitter user describing it as if has made a noise that may be the actual work of the devil.

Presenter Simon Thomas said: “Goodness me, what on earth was that? You take it out of context and that kind of sound does not sound good. But Merse, goodness me.”

Kris Boyd at one point was trying to say his bit, but gave up and just subsequently handed it over to Paul Merson who was again making himself centre of attention.

Craig Dawson wasn’t standing for it, no one was interrupting him, and he just carried on regardless of whatever noise Merse was making.

Luckily for Merse, by the end of the game, he had everyone in hysterics, yes, even Mike Dean was crying with laughter, as can be seen in the video below…
