After finding out on yet another object being thrown from those on the top tier onto the home fans, both Oxford and Sunderland supporters took express their anger and called for netting to be installed or the away fans be moved elsewhere to prevent future events happening – see those tweets on the next page….
As an Oxford fan, that's extremely disappointing to read. Surprised one of our 'fans' did such an act, not what our fanbase are known for. Only thing I will say is that it's a must that @SunderlandAFC move the away end elsewhere. Trouble from Coventry, Pompey, Oxford, who next?

@stewartdonald3 mentioned looking at a netting system. The time for that was the summer tbh.

@Brk3r7: This is why North stand lower central is empty all the time, who wants to sit underneath a bunch of twats who are 50 feet above them & have shite lobbed down onto them .. Sort it out #SAFC
@MILF0RD: make them watch every Sunderland game that will a punishment
@shaunculpin: It was a pie it went over my head . I had just paid £3.50 for mine . No way would I have wasted mine even if the ref was shocking !!
@SAFC_NYorkshire: Time for netting around the away fans.
@MartinDagg94: Just put them back on the lower level, better atmosphere.
