Notts County reveal how many season tickets they’ve sold after being saved

Just a week or so ago, the future of Notts County was looking bleak with supporters, players or managers not knowing what was in store for the new campaign ahead.

It was the first time the Magpies were set to play outside of the English Football League in their 157 year history.

And with that along with the crisis they did have in mind, it was expected that season ticket sales were going to be lower than they’re usually capable of getting.

Last season Notts County attracted a number of over 3,000 and got a average home attendance of 7,537, expecting what the club suggested would be an ‘enthralling’ season ahead – only for it to be the worst ever.

They had been tipped to win promotion to League One and instead found themselves relegated on the final day of the season.

As of today, ahead of their first non league home match tomorrow, they have announced that 2,650 had been sold and that 950 people more did so since their takeover by Danish duo Alexander and Christoffer Reedtz was completed on the 26th of July.

Notts County have more recently great backing from their fanbase. They nearly reached an average of 8,000 for 2017/18, and had over 10,000 inside Meadow Lane more than six times that season.
