Notts County look set to break the record National League attendance once again in their upcoming match against Yeovil Town.
Once a season the Magpies drop ticket prices in a bid to bring in new faces through the turnstiles.
Last season saw a record-breaking National League crowd of nearly 13,000 for the visit of Solihull Moors, but now that looks set to be beaten on Saturday the 19th of November against the Glovers with it being designated as their annual ‘Football for a Fiver’ day at Meadow Lane.
This week the club revealed a new initiative that gives supporters the chance to gift a ticket for the match to the charity arm of the club, the Notts County Foundation.
Any tickets gifted will be distributed to local families who the Foundation work with.
The playing squad and staff at the club kicked off the initiative by donating 50 tickets themselves.

CLUB STATEMENT:
Football for a Fiver is BACK for the Vanarama National League visit of Yeovil Town on Saturday 19 November (3pm)!
Following the incredible success of last year’s cut-price fixture, which set a record National League attendance of 12,843, we can’t wait to pack out Meadow Lane once again.
Our chief executive Jason Turner said: “We have always seen an incredible response from football fans within Nottingham and beyond for our annual discounted fixtures and we know this year will be no different.
“Breaking the attendance record last season was an incredible achievement not only for the club but the whole city, and we’ll once again be harnessing the passion of local football supporters to make this another afternoon to remember.
“The match takes place the day before the opening game of the FIFA World Cup so this is a great opportunity for everyone to bring the buzz to Meadow Lane before the action gets going in Qatar!
“We also strongly encourage families who have never visited us before to come along and sample the brilliant matchday experience in our Family Stand. A host of fun-filled activities will be on offer, with more details to follow shortly.”

Twitter users reacted as Notts County look set to break the record National League attendance once again…
@chogger5: Fantastic initiative this by the club football should be for all and no one should be priced out of watching a live game and for those laughing about it what’s wrong with making football affordable for all once in a while?
@elliotwarnerr: Only here for the Yeovil
@scole_v: Still blows my mind that they stick the away fans next to all the kids and families
@NayV99: Probably safer than having them go through the stalls next to the kop
@pieorama2: Yeovil fans are hardly likely to start attacking children.
@YorkshireHorns: Superb support for the non league👏👏👏
@chogger5: Even the family stand nearly sold out 👀
@jamiehenry28: Good on you lads ! Certainly my team for the title, unreal passing unit and by far the best team I’ve seen in the season and a half we’ve been here
@jakesant6: Might have to buy a ticket in the away end for a change
@YorkshireHorns: Cracking support 👏👏👏👏
@sebdwhite: Went to Meadow Lane for the first time recently for something for the next issue of @MundialMag. It’s a proper football ground, with tons of history and a load of very good people behind the scenes. And it’s only a fiver to go this weekend. And it’s against the Glovers.
