An Notts County goal has been described as ‘x-rated filth’ and a video emerges of one fan falling out of stand celebrating.
Once again, we have ourselves new National League leaders, with the Magpies replacing Wrexham at the top having beaten them by just one goal, and what a lovely one it was too.
Notts County took the lead when a well-worked free-kick which saw former Gateshead player Macaulay Langstaff claim his 15th goal of the season.
Absolute x-rated filth from Notts County.

Ollie Palmer nearly got Wrexham back level but was denied by a fine save from Sam Slocombe, although Cedwyn Scott’s fierce shot then nearly doubled the hosts’ lead.
Wrexham’s James Jones had the ball in the net but was flagged for offside, and Aaron Hayden twice went close but just couldn’t get Wrexham back in it.
The game was a described to have been fine advert for the National League, with over 10,741 fans inside Meadow Lane – including 1,892 having made the trip from Wrexham on a Tuesday night. You won’t see these type of crowds at any this level of football in any other country across the world.
Notts County (5-3-2): Slocombe; Nemane, Brindley, Rawlinson, Cameron, Chicksen; O’Brien (Bajrami 34), Rodrigues, Palmer; Langstaff Mitchell 87), Scott (Austin 79). Subs not used: Mitchell, Castro, Adebayo-Rowling.
Wrexham (5-3-2): Howard; Forde, Hayden, Tozer, Cleworth (Dalby 73), McFadzean; Jones (McAlinden 73), Young, Davies (Lee 41); Mullin, Palmer. Subs not used: Watson, O’Connor.
“A clever set-play cost us,” said Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson after the game.
“It was a game where there were chances at both ends but we have had the most clear cut opportunities.
“On another day, we could have scored three or four goals easily.
“We had three one-on-ones and Aaron Hayden had two headers in the six yard box.
“You would always fancy us to score if a team gives us that many chances but it just wouldn’t go in for us.
“We knew Notts are a decent side,” said Parkinson, who saw his goalkeeper Mark Howard pull off a number of crucial saves.
“They started quick, had a chance early, but I thought we grew into the half.
“Paul Mullin got through and shot over, and Ollie Palmer was through, so even in the first half we had opportunities.
“I thought we dominated the second half; obviously when we went and opened the team up a little bit, there is always the vulnerability on the break.
“Mark Howard had to pull off some really good saves but all in all, it’s game we deserved at least a point.”
“The lads have got good belief in themselves as individual players and collectively,” said Parkinson.
“We said at half-time that there was a great opportunity for us because we knew how they play with a very high line and we knew if the timing of the runs was right, we would get in.
“When Altrincham came here on Saturday they had five or six chances very similar.
“Notts County will probably look at it and think that over the two games, to only concede one goal against Altrincham, they have got away with it a little bit.”
Notts County boss Luke Williams insists his side will not get carried away.
“I think it is a big win, but we are not getting carried away because nothing is one at this stage, it is just a single game,” said Williams.
“But of course, it is a significant win because it puts us top of the table and it was against a direct opponent who will be pushing us for the remainder of the season.
“It’s a big win, but we still have a long, long way to go.”
But when questioned how it felt to be top of the table, Williams said that his side deserved to be top of the league and hinted that they could have more points than the 27 they have accumulated.
“I think it means that we have performed well up until this point of the season, for sure,” he added.
“We probably did enough in the games that we have drawn to have won them. We have had one very bad game away at Dorking, but other than that we have been consistent and have controlled a number of games and creating chances and we deserve to be top of the table.”
