It has been announced that Ashton United have been deducted one point from their tally in this season’s BetVictor Northern Premier League Premier Division.
It comes after the Tamesiders made an administrative error regarding a player registration for the game with Matlock Town.
The fixture, which was played on the 31st of August, ended up being a 1-1 at Ashton’s Hurst Cross, with the point gained by the Robins now deducted.
There is no change in position for the club as they 17th in the table with 14 points from their 13 games.
It means they are now two points behind Morpeth Town who sit a place below them, but are four points clear of the relegation zone, which consists of Buxton, Gainsborough Trinity and Stafford Rangers.
