Managed by Dennis Perry with Luke Joiner as his assistant, they are set to continue plauing at the floodlit Kia Speedwell Stadium based in Stoke Gabriel.
Stoke Gabriel were founded in 1905 and relied on the generosity of local farmers to provide a ground during which the changing rooms remained in the village where both the school room and an old army hut were utilised.
By contrast, Torbay Police FC in their last incarnation were founded in October 2010 by members of the Devon & Cornwall Police and played in the South Devon League.
As well as serving officers and constabulary staff, they have also included players from the local community.
Nine months ago, we reported how Stoke Gabriel conceded 96 goals in seven league fixtures after suffering an 18-1 defeat.
Bovey Tracey FC set a new league record in the heavy win at Stoke Gabriel for the South West Peninsula League Premier Division East (10th tier of English football) encounter.
The away side were incredibly 7-0 up come the end of the first half, but got themselves a further eight goals in the second 45 minutes.
In Bovey Tracey’s previous league fixture, they ended up losing 8-0, also in an away fixture to Ilfracombe Town.
In Stoke Gabriel’s previous league fixture, they suffered another heavy defeat, this time a 13-0 defeat by Cullompton Rangers, who beat Bovey Tracey 4-2 in the game prior.
Stoke Gabriel have also lost 15-0 to Millbrook AFC and 14-0 against Torrington AFC.
After their 14-0 defeat to Torrington in September, the club ended up sacking their manager.
They started the season losing 15-0 at Torridgeside AFC, followed it up with a 13-0 defeat at the hands to Crediton United, then lost the third game 8-0 against Newton Abbot Spurs.
The game after the announcement of their merging, a matchy was played and whilst they were able to score goals, they conceded heavily once again, losing 6-4 to Tornado Bello Seven.
They will also face Chepstow Town, Glastonbury, Devizes Town, Liverton, Seaton Town and Feniton before facing Plymouth Marjon in the season opener.
