After find out about Padiham and Congleton Town being fined for the racist abuse as well as taking players off the pitch, football fans up and down the country took to voice their anger and disappointment…
Well done Padiham FC for zero tolerance against this verbal disease ??????

Padiham deserve a spot at next years #SPOTY awards for standing up against #racism – Actions speak louder than words
— Steve Brown (@SteveBCraven) 8 April 2019
And here lies the problem ? shocking from the authorities, no wonder we are seeing issues at all levels ?

This was disgusting and Padiham were absolutely right to make a stand, but pretty sure it’s the County FA who make decisions on non-footballing matters like this. You have complete solidarity from other supporters, including my fellow fans and friends at @RuncornTown

Well done Padiham. That kind of abuse needs stamping out.
Irony is Congleton’s goal keeper could have suffered the same abuse!— The great Cornholio (@mattyt339) 8 April 2019
Complete and utter disgrace. What should have happened was that Congleton should have done the same in support of the player and Padiham. And the referee too. Completely disgusting behaviour from the authorities concerned.

Fans continued to offer their support, one user suggested a crowdfunding was started to help them pay off these fines…
There should be a crowdfunding page for this… disgusting behaviour by the league.
Better still… just tell me where to send the payment

Hopefully @Padiham_FC won't end up having to pay this fine. Well done for taking a stand ?

@Padiham_FC do you need any help with the recent story we've just been tagged into regarding the fine you received for walking off the pitch? We can help if so….

We are somewhat disappointed that @Padiham_FC have been fined by @nwcfl for taking a stand against racism. We would like to offer £50 towards the fine. #sayNoToRacism
