STATEMENT FROM WHITEHAWK:
Club Announce Major Re-Development Plans
For 80 years, Whitehawk Football Club has stood proudly at the heart of East Brighton — a club built on passion, people, and the power of community.
Since our founding in 1945, generations of local families have filled the terraces, played on the pitch, and shared in the highs and lows that make football so special. Today, that same spirit continues to drive us forward — stronger, more inclusive, and more connected than ever.
More Than a Football Club
Whitehawk FC isn’t just about matchday. Alongside our thriving Men’s First Team, we now proudly run a Women’s Team and a Youth Academy with over 180 boys aged Under-10 to Under-16, all wearing the Whitehawk badge with pride. Next season we’ll be adding to our youth pathway and launch girls’ pathway teams to give even more young girls the opportunity to shine.
Beyond the game itself, our re-invigorated “Hawks in the Community” programme will again deliver real impact — through projects that champion health and wellbeing, inclusion, and opportunity for all.
A Bold New Chapter
We’re now ready to take the next big step in our journey. Plans are underway for a brand-new stadium and improved pitch — a transformational redevelopment that will secure the club’s future and strengthen our role at the heart of the community.
Phase one will see the Southwest corner of the site redeveloped to include:
A small gymnasium suitable for a local boxing club and fitness programmes.
A multi-use suite offering initiatives such as mental health counselling and community wellbeing sessions.
A refurbished clubhouse and bar, complete with a commercial-grade kitchen, creating a vibrant social hub for matchday’s and local events.
At the other end of the ground, our new Fanzone, ‘The Hawks Social’, a joint venture with Brighton’s Bison Beer, is already under way — A vibrant, inclusive space for both match and non-matchday – bringing fans closer to the action and showcasing our commitment to enhancing the matchday experience.
Get Involved. Have Your Say.
As always, our fans are the heartbeat of Whitehawk FC. Your support keeps us going — and your voice will help shape what comes next.
So, get down to the Enclosed Ground, cheer on the Hawks, explore the new stadium plans on display, and share your ideas in our informal community consultation.
Because this is more than football.
It’s about belonging, participation, and pride in the place we call home.
Together, we can make it happen.
Together, we are Whitehawk FC – Where Football’s For All.
Look out for more news in the coming weeks!
Hawk’s next game is this coming Saturday (October 11) at home to Carshalton Athletic, kick off 3pm. You can purchase tickets to the game HERE
