Benitez has been frustrated with the amount of money he’s been allowed to spend by owner Mike Ashley, who seems to be putting it towards saving House of Fraser and Beatties stores rather than putting it in the club.

Pressure is growing on the Portuguese after defeats against Brighton, Tottenham, West Ham. His side have also performance disappointingly in the Champions League and got knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Derby County.
Paul Scholes has also accused Mourinho of “embarrassing” United and claims to be “surprised” he was not sacked.
