New low for National League North club in crisis as Neil Redfearn resigns three weeks into role

New low for National League North club Farsley Celtic in crisis as manager Neil Redfearn resigns three weeks into the role.

The team suffered a 6-1 defeat against Needham Market, a team at the bottom of the league standings, on Saturday afternoon, which was a low point for the club.

But it turns out that Redfearn was not present at the game, nor was his assistant Pav Singh.

Instead, the team was led by women’s manager Izzy Roads and youth coach Phil Lake.

Redfearn has since issued a statement wishing the Farsley supporters and players well, but no further details were provided by the club.

Farsley Celtic are currently two points off safety in the league standings, adding to the sense of urgency and crisis surrounding the club.

The Telegraph & Argus report that they were sent a number of messages from supporters on Monday morning, telling them that neither Redfearn nor assistant Pav Singh had been at the game, led by women’s manager Izzy Roads and youth coach Phil Lake.

T&A got in touch with Redfearn to confirm whether he had left the club, and he added that he had actually resigned last Thursday.

David Pearce posted on Facebook: IT’S ALL GONE QUIET AT THE SHITADEL….! THE WHEELS COME OFF AT FARSLEY…….AGAIN….!

Redfearn walks…. Pav leaves again…? On the back of the chaos at Buxton yesterday a statement from the comically run crisis Club is needed more than ever….

Farsley were thumped 6-1 at home yesterday by relegation threatened Needham Market – a result which brings the drop a step closer for crisis Club Farsley Celtic…..

But that result wasn’t the worst of it….

The manager Neil Redfearn didn’t turn up at Buxton for the game yesterday – the team was apparently managed for the day by the coach of the Ladies Team and the Farsley U9s manager…..

Rumours are running riot that Redfearn has walked out and that his assistant has joined him…..

These rumours need quelling by the Club to restore some stability!!

Farsley only had fourteen players available for the crunch relegation six-pointer against fellow strugglers Needham Market….. 12 of whom are ‘new’ to the Club following the recent walk-out of first team regulars from the Club.

The supporters boycott of the Club is still in force at the total attendance at Buxton yesterday was in the region of 70.

Bar staff at the Club are still owed thousands in unpaid wages and key suppliers are now moving to reclaim debts owed to them.

And after 300 days without football at the Shitadel a digger was spotted at the ground yesterday and TEN MONTHS LATE work may begin tomorrow….you simply couldn’t write it….

And yet the Club says nothing……silence…..the inter-net is well and truly down at the Shitadel…!!!

Not a word from the Club on Farsley’s official web-site and no updates from the under pressure chairman…

Time might even be up for the Chairman himself…..he must be thoroughly sick of mis-managing the mess he has made and may decide to walk. They may well be those around that want to push him out as well……

Investors in his troubled plans too might well be losing patience…..

It’s hilarious….. a contemptuous way to treat supporters, the community, stakeholders and sponsors….

So, this managerless, playerless, groundless and fanless shambles of a Club continues to plumb new depths of incompetence….

Let’s hope for some sort of statement from the Club today….. to calm the nerves, if nothing else….!!

Let’s have the record put straight….once and for all….

Expect big new from the Shitadel today though as this crisis looks like breaking…..!!!

IT’S ALL GONE QUIET AT THE SHITADEL….!!!

THE WHEELS COME OFF AT FARSLEY…….AGAIN….!!!

Redfearn walks….Pav…

Here’s how fans reacted with it a new low for the National League North club in crisis as Neil Redfearn resigns three weeks into role…

@KennyHa05511109: It makes you wonder if they will see the season out? It reminds me a little of Marske last year. They dropped out mid-season and restarted in the Northern League this season. Perhaps Farsley should restart in the NCEL next season?

Colin Hudson: So sad. Once a great Club.

Stephen Hunter: Needs a phoenix club to start I’m sure farsley public will get behind it just need a local business man. Players downed tools yesterday looking at 2nd half.

Miles Purgallon: I know none of this is his fault. But you have to question Pavs judgement. Taking on the job, walking out, returning and walking out again. I can only suspect he’s being played and mis led! Let’s see what happens on Monday, the latest date for ground works! 😟

Norman Leah: So sad pal, just praying you survive as a club mate, from ALL you’re great friends at Alfreton.

Alex Evans: Oh my Christ…

Neil Edmonds: But is the digger for the pitch or to start foundations for the new build homes???

Sam Liddiard: Really sad to see what’s happening at Farsley. Have kept an eye on your results since you played Hungerford in the Trophy 2 seasons ago. Hope it can all get sorted soon.

Graham Donovan: Just to reiterate the digger is not the one used to rag the cash machine out of the coop in Ilkley the other night….. or is it 🤔😄 would pay for a square metre of AstroTurf 😄😄😄
