Fans have jokingly called for Morgan Gibbs-White to be “sent home” after a hilarious video emerged following his last-minute England call-up.
The Nottingham Forest captain had barely started a family holiday when international duty came calling, forcing him to cut short the break and link up with the Three Lions.
Gibbs-White was initially left out of Thomas Tuchel’s squad before being handed a late call-up following a number of withdrawals.

And judging by a video posted by his partner, Britney De Villiers, the midfielder had been making the most of his brief time away.
The couple filmed themselves performing a light-hearted cover of a song from Disney’s High School Musical, with the video captioned: “When he gets a last minute England call-up 2 hours into the family holiday.”
Rather than appearing genuinely annoyed about the call-up, the pair were clearly having some fun with their holiday being interrupted.
However, the clip quickly circulated among football fans and sparked some bizarre criticism – along with plenty of supporters mocking the outrage.
One fan sarcastically wrote: “Should be banned full stop from football after watching that.”
Another joked: “A two-hour interruption to a family holiday is clearly an act of national sabotage that must be punished with exile.”
Others were baffled by the negative reaction.
One replied: “What’s bad there lol”, while another said: “Get a grip, having a laugh with his wife.”
Another supporter wrote: “A man that has fun with his wife in 2026. Love that for him. Social media is bad vibes.”
And one fan predicted Gibbs-White might have a bigger problem waiting for him when he meets up with his fellow players, writing: “He is going to get absolutely crucified by his team mates for this, and rightly so.”
Whether England send him home remains to be seen – but his teammates certainly have some new material to work with.
