Milton Keynes Dons have tonight confirmed that they have sacked their first team manager Paul Tisalde.
It comes after they lost 3-1 at home to Tranmere Rovers, their eight defeat in nine games, seeing them drop into the League One relegation zone.
Their club statement read: Milton Keynes Dons Football Club have parted company with manager Paul Tisdale by mutual consent.
The decision was made this evening (Saturday) following a meeting between the Chairman and Paul.
Assistant Manager Matt Oakley and First-Team Coaches Danny Butterfield and Mel Gwinnett will also depart the Club.
Chairman Pete Winkelman said: “I’d like to place on record my appreciation of what Paul was able to achieve for us, winning promotion from Sky Bet League Two at the first attempt and leaving us in a better position than when he found it.”
The Club would like to thank Paul, Matt, Danny and Mel for their dedication, commitment and tireless work ethic. They brought success back to Stadium MK in 2018/19 and, for that, the Club will always be grateful. Everyone at MK Dons wishes them every success in the future.
Fans took to give their reaction with many choosing to mock the club – see those tweets by clicking on the next page.
