Leeds fans quickly took to Twitter to reply to the Mirror’s ‘story’ claiming he made a Nazi Salute in his celebration, and they certainly didn’t hold back…
Scum paper

Except he didn't and explained fully what it was about after the game. Very lazy journalism as usual.

That should be a chant at ER

Doesn’t though does he!

Trouble-making piece of garbage. He made it very clear in his interview what he was doing. The usual research-free reporting. When you try to attribute hate crime that's simply not there you betray the real fight.

@li4mlufc: That’s not even a Nazi salute though is it, he’s pointing.
@All_White_Al: @MirrorFootball To editor and journalist Alioski immediately explained. In interview in sky it was about one of the management staff who did movember for charity. He is pointing to him. You know this. But still decide to publish. Do your job better.
@theadelites: Ah the famous nazi finger pointing, I remember it well ??♂️???
@AMitherer: Whoever wrote this needs to resign. Beyond embarrassing.
@blumancunian: He might have been in Wayne Hennessy’s history class tbf
@MattTams: “appears to” being the most you can level at him ? If you’re a paper of repute then I trust you’ll report that he was gesticulating to a member of coaching staff who’s not shaving his moustache until Leeds lose a game. F***ing daft to do it like that, but nothing sinister.
@BigShilly: He mentioned why he did it after the game!! Weak journalism trying to create something of it!! Put to bed by Alioski!! Why not write about his stunning goal!! ALAW!!
