Miron Muslic says Plymouth Argyle wrongly had a goal disallowed for offside in the 1-1 draw with Luton Town on Wednesday.
It was a bottom-of-the-table clash, with Argyle coming from behind to secure the draw. Luton took the lead in the 55th minute through Jacob Brown, but Maksym Talovierov levelled for Argyle in the 70th minute with a header from a Kornel Szucs cross.
Muslic highlighted a controversial moment when Callum Wright’s potential goal was disallowed for offside in the 33rd minute, though he refrained from directly criticising the officials despite replays suggesting the decision was incorrect.
The result kept Argyle in 23rd place, one point above Luton, in a physically demanding game with few clear chances for either team.

Muslic said, per Plymouth Live: “I think he’s clearly onside but this are difficult situations and difficult moments for the referees. I always respect the referees. They are sportsmen.
“We try our best as players, we try our best as coaches, and they try their best. We have good, bad and ugly days all of us so no comments on this. I think the referee (James Linington) did a good game.
“It was a very vertical football game. I think the atmosphere was just amazing, beautiful. It felt like England in the Championship. Hostile but nice.
“Luton was very physical, very direct. I think we had to defend 1,000 long balls, throw-ins, trying to occupy our box with set pieces, and we did it well defensively.
“We didn’t allow them a lot of chances in open play. The most dangerous things have been the set pieces, the throw-ins, the deep free-kicks.
“This you can’t defend all the time and I think on this goal we conceded it was just a miscommunication between our centre-backs, and maybe the reason why was because a new player entered the game so they didn’t realise who was in charge, who was there.
“Bouncing back it’s super difficult, especially knowing it’s Luton, we know the ranking and we know our situation, but bouncing back is just a new mentality we have.
“We bounced back in Sunderland, we bounced back against West Brom and we bounced back also tonight. That’s why I’m okay and happy with the point. It was not easy, and this will be a massive point if we can perform again on Saturday against Cardiff at Fortress Home Park, and that’s the plan.”
Muslic continued: “We had to defend a lot and I think we picked the right profiles, and we also changed the right profiles, especially with Kornel knowing that Luton put a lot of diagonal balls on Matty Sorinola to take advantage out of his height.
“He did it fantastic on the ground but it was a threat we wanted to minimise, and on the other side we wanted to use Kornel offensively for crosses and especially for long throw-ins to change a little bit the rhythm and the momentum. I think we did it right.”
Luton boss Matt Bloomfield on McGuinness still being off the pitch when Talovierov scored Plymouth’s equaliser.
“If the physio comes on then the player has to go off for 30 seconds but if a player goes down and the game gets stopped but he doesn’t get treatment, as we saw multiple times tonight, they just carry on,” said Bloomfield.
“It’s frustrating for us to concede when Mark is off the pitch. If he’s on we have one extra defender in the box, but I don’t want to make excuses. We have got to see out these moments, it’s crucial to winning games.
“We limited our opposition to three shots, of which that was one of them, so really frustrated to not win the game. Second phase and switching off at set pieces is something, unfortunately, we have done a few times.”

@GilbsMark: Wrongly
@MartinPafc20: Joke of officials in this league
@pusb_coventry: Miles onside
@Adam_Price17: Look at the complete lack of appeals. They know he’s on. Fuck me. #pafc
@Wrongliner: He was onside. Easier decision to give it on than off.
@_thejacobc_: State of the fucking officials in this country 🤣🤣 mistake after mistake when will something be done about it? Potentially season defining for us and we’ve been robbed and shafted yet again.
@Atexo02: Not even close to offside, Kaminski might be the luckiest man on the planet tonight. Did everything possible to try PMO
@DaveWitts: @EFL @SkyBetChamp This is absolutely shameful. Not even close to being offside. If I don’t do my job properly, I get sacked. You’re more interested in calling them a lines person. Do you’re fucking job !!!! #PAFC
@BlondieJanner: Officiating in the Championship is a complete disgrace. Utter shambles !!! @Argyle should be 1:0 up. #efl #pafc #ltfc
@Jannerspray: Not even close!
@Barneyowl1: Embarrassing! Some dreadful decisions first half
@MarkLangPAFC: It wasn’t though, was it?
@MJ12GreenArmy: Never offside. 💚 #pafc
@salmontub: Another match day, another bad decision by officials in the English football pyramid. Decisions like this could come back to haunt Plymouth massively
@ArgyleAddict: Shocking decision – not surprised with the officiating standards in this county
@Willswfc24: where do they find these linos and refs?there fucking shite
@kelly_dink: He was onside. Fucksake.
@chazabbb: laughable goalkeeping, how can a team have 2 half chances and put them both past you, lucky lucky man
@JoeRendle: Wow, where do they get these officials from? #pafc
@DeggyUK: Kaminski has to deal with this. We talk about commanding your back line and trusting your keeper. The amount of times he’s stuck to his line this year. Brilliant shop stopper but his sweeper and distribution abilities let him down at times.
@Ry_Waterschoot: It’s alright though we’ll get a letter to apologise 👍🏽
@elliot_massey: It’s actually laughable #pafc
