Millwall fans express frustration after being knocked out of Carabao Cup Second Round by Leyton Orient on Tuesday night.
Neil Harris said players “won’t be knocking on my door” asking why they’re not in the team on Saturday, having made eight changes from the game against Hull for the cup clash.
Dan Agyei netted the only goal of the game in the 14th minute strike to sent the League One side through.
Millwall fans will be hoping for a much improved performance this weekend, especially having seen the Lions fail to register a shot on target in the game against Orient.
FT #Millwall 0 Leyton Orient 1.
Dreadful. No other way of summing it up.
Injury to Tom Bradshaw makes a bad night even worse.

Neil Harris confident that signings will be made before the transfer deadline but makes the point that ideally he needs them much earlier on Friday so they are eligible for the match against Sheffield Wednesday. #Millwall

Harris says he takes “full responsibility” for the team selection. Says it was about giving players minutes. Also said quite a few there has been a clamour to play or ones that have knocked on his door asking to start more matches. #Millwall

Harris – asked about a lack of forward options being depleted even further – said: “We’ve talked a lot about needing to recruit at the top end of the pitch. I think tonight we see that very clearly with opportunities to impress for players who have knocked on my door asking to…

Asked Harris if it makes it even harder now to get a forward when other clubs will see that Bradshaw is ruled out – and the price probably goes up.
“Possibly. That is why clubs are desperate to do business early and get people in. We’ve not been able to, for whatever reason.…

Had quite a few #Millwall fans asking about loan reports surrounding Aidomo Emakhu.
Neil Harris: “I don’t know – a lot of fans wanted to see him in the team. I gave him an opportunity tonight to play. He is a work in progress. He is a very young man. He has come from the League…

“They’re going to be frustrated because they’ve paid their money to come and watch tonight, I understand that and no-one’s more frustrated and disappointed than me,” Neil Harris said to BBC Radio London.
“But they have to remember it is early, I’ve given people an opportunity and there is a clamour from the fans to play some players, and today people have had their opportunity and they didn’t take it.
“I don’t think there’ll be many people knocking on my door on Friday once I’ve named my team for Saturday [against Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship].
“We created more clear-cut chances than anyone in the first three league games. I thought we were poor tonight with the ball, we didn’t create enough chances.
“We’ve had three really good league performances. We’ve only got one point, that’s fact. But we’ve deserved five or seven.
“We’ve scored goals and we’ve created lots of chances, so that’s the reaction I expect at the weekend.”
Millwall fans express frustration after being knocked out of Carabao Cup by Leyton Orient, here’s what’s being said on Twitter…
@Dan_Wall06: Don’t you dare talk about “Millwall like” performances after that, embarrassing.
@steven_stock: Sick of this rubbish, this squad is League One level and so, so poor 🤬🤬🤬
@millwallbl46: Pony absolute pony
@charliemfc: Pathetic from the manager, coaches and players.
@Dorian_fno1: Esse was unplayable in the 10 so Harris decided to shift him out wide to chase Leonard’s shit line balls
@MillwallDolbs5: Do yourself a favour admin, don’t put Harris post match interview up, you won’t like the replies, we don’t wanna here the usual bullshit!
@MillwallDolbs5: Every player should be ashamed of themselves tonight, that performance was fucking disgraceful, I don’t think I have ever seen worse, manager hasn’t got a clue, the recruitment has been shit and some of these players wouldn’t get in league 1 sides
@littlepaul1885: POXY. Listen Orient looked decent, best team won, but we played like a bunch of Raspberry’s! No direction, no game plan, FA. Making all these unnecessary changes, for THIS! SORT IT OUT
@MLong94: Should be ashamed of that performance. Utter disgrace.
@LewisStone93: What do we actually do in training?
@KaseeTaylor: That was the worst bit of football I’ve seen 😂😂.. do we just go training and see how far we can toe punt a ball all week
@speeddemon8021: Team of statues, find me a time that a Millwall player didn’t receive the ball stood stock still with a defender at his back! This club ain’t seen a bit of coaching for years
@BestMbest80: We want our money back! Not a single shot on target home to a league 1 side
@Joshua_Sp3: Just so crap Esse and Watmore again the only ones that look decent. Gallen please sign some players
@JIMOFMFC: Absolutely abysmal, massive changes needed for Saturday. Shocking
@IosephusM: Wouldn’t pay these £5 a week.
@AlbieBaker3: We need a full reshuffle not the people that have been here for years. Full change in everything in the back room staff
@Stephenshaw192: Walk Harris now, this is going to end badly so go now
@wx_mfc: Harris mate it’s time
@grac3mfc: get ready for the “proper millwallness performance” “millwall like” soundbites
@beausy78: That was an absolute embarrassment, call yourselves championship players and manager? League 2 at best
@roy_ldn: Serious questions have to be asked of Harris
@Millwallryan96: Harris took us as far as he could the first time round his football is utterly shocking worst football I’ve watched and he came back for John and saved us he’s a legend forever for that but then that should have been it!. Just gonna end bitter again ffs
@harryofficial_x: Fucking embarrassing. None of the players wanted to be there tonight, and couldn’t even place a simple pass. What hope do we have for this season?
