The match between Denmark and Iceland was halted on Sunday night as Kasper Schmeichel is kneed in the face following a horror collision.
Leicester City fans are left waiting anxiously for an update on their number one after he took a nasty blow to the head during the Nations League fixture.
Schmeichel rushed out and dived to grab an oncoming ball, however Albert Gudmundsson was chasing it, only to fail to stop in time.

His thigh and knee connected with the shot stopper’s head, and the Dane remained laid flat out on the pitch before being taken off the pitch.
He received immediate medical attention, and was eventually able to leave the field when he was alright to do so.
He was substituted off at half time as a precaution, with the possibility of a concussion or a neck injury in the minds of the doctors.
Schmeichel has since been looked at further, but there is no word yet on the extent of any injury he may have.
A positive update was issued from Denmark boss Hjulmand: “Kasper was never unconscious. However, there was no doubt he should not continue playing.
“He looked better after the match. We have to see what it looks like from here. We hope nothing serious has happened to Kasper.”
Brendan Rodgers will also be left worrying, hoping he will be available for their big encounter with reigning Premier League champions Liverpool this Sunday.
If the team‘s No.1 is not available for the upcoming Premier League game, then Welshman and understudy goalkeeper, Danny Ward, will come into the starting eleven.
Schmeichel isn’t the only Fox to take a knock on international duty, and Cengiz Under of Turkey also enduring a knock. Although he featured and scored in the their subsequent match.
When asked about Chilwell’s injury after England’s loss to Belgium, Southgate said: “He had some sort of issue with his back that he was complaining about and he didn’t feel he could carry on.
“Outside of that I can’t give you any detail at the moment.”
Denmark went on to win Sunday’s clash against Iceland 2-1. They broke the deadlock early through a Christian Eriksen penalty, however Iceland looked to have rescued a point with a late goal.
The former Tottenham player stepped up for a second penalty in injury time to seal the win for his team. England lost to Belgium and ruined any hope of the Three Lions going to the Nations League finals.

It happened in the one minute of injury time at the end of the first half. Don’t know how much football was played after he received treatment, but he wasn’t officially substituted until half-time

That could be nastier as a neck injury than a head injury.

Checked the concussion rules in the prem (if that’s what it is deemed to be) and he will be out for a minimum 6 days, so should be back for Liverpool on Sunday!

The club doctors will check Kasper out this week but looking at pictures afterwards tonight he responded to treatment well. We need him in that huge match at Anfield next Sunday.

Please be fine Kasper @kschmeichel1 😔💔

That was the original plan, when the 14-day quarantine from Denmark included sportspeople (and so he’d have missed Liverpool, Braga, Fulham). But the rule was changed, and sportspeople were made exempt, so he flew out
