Marti Cifuentes was THRASHED 4-1 on his return to QPR, and says his Leicester players had let the fans down.
Queens Park Rangers put four past by half time, through goals from Koki Saito, Richard Kone, Karamoko Dembele, and Amadou Mbengue.
In the second half, Bobby De Cordova-Reid struck his penalty against the post before substitute Silko-Amari Thomas pulled one back for Leicester, but the damage was already done as QPR jumped above the Foxes in the Championship table.

Leicester City boss Marti Cifuentes told BBC Radio Leicester:
“I’m really angry and really disappointed about the first half. We played below the standards and got punished.
“Credit to QPR, they did really well and it was exactly the kind of game that we knew they like – they were aggressive, they were strong and eager.
“The way we conceded three goals was very poor, and while the fourth one is a fantastic strike we didn’t play well in the first half.
“I’m sad for them (supporters) because we want to do well for them and it’s hard for us to now get back to Leicester knowing that there were a lot of people who came here to support us, and that’s not what we want for them.
“All I can do is try work harder, put in more hours to make sure that the team improves going into the next one, so hopefully on Boxing Day we can have a strong reaction.”
Cifuentes, per Sky Sports:
“A really bad first half and then it was perhaps the end of the game. It was just a very bad first half – unacceptable for me, for the players, and unacceptable for our fans that travelled here.
“We didn’t match some of the things that are needed to compete in a game like this, so very disappointed. It’s a really disappointing day.
“Emotionally, it’s a tough one. We need to move on quick. It’s a marathon, we are almost in the middle of the season and we need to pick ourselves up.
“Conceding a goal after just a few minutes was tough for the team. But still, we need to cope with different scenarios and cannot expect things to always go our way.
“In this search for the identity that I’m talking about (having), it’s very important to cope with different scenarios. We definitely need to be better. We need to be more consistent, which isn’t easy in a league like this.”

Queens Park Rangers head coach Julien Stephan told BBC Radio London:
“It was an outstanding first half. The way they played, how they came onto the pitch, how they moved together – with and without the ball – it’s never perfect, but it was very close to perfection.
“To score four goals like this, and to create the atmosphere like this with the fans was probably the best first half and best feeling since I started this job.
“When you live something like this, you have to enjoy it, but you also need to be ready to compete immediately and that is what I said at half-time because the game is not just 45 minutes.
“I think we came out very quick and very good in the first 10 or 15 minutes of the second half, and they didn’t have many situations, and we could have scored another one. It’s a fantastic win.”
Stephan, per Sky Sports:
“We have to speak about the players, about their quality, their mentality and the effort on the pitch.
“All the players big deserve credit. But it’s a dangerous moment for me – especially for me – because I think you will write a lot of positive things on the players and the next game will be another battle.
“We have to enjoy the moment, but we need to stay focused on the fact that each time it’s a new story, each game it’s different, and we have to prepare and have the same intensity and quality as this one.
“We are in a good way, but we are only halfway through the season. It’s a long journey.”
Twitter users gave their reaction with Marti Cifuentes THRASHED 4-1 on his return to QPR, and says Leicester players let down fans…
@TAIEpodcast:
Get him gone then.
Fucking 4-0 at ht 😂😂
Can’t coach a defence for shit, clueless.
If he stays, tells you everything about the state of the club under KP.

@mnorman1985: After that crap performance today, I’ll be questioning my life choices on Monday afternoon at 2pm, when I willingly spend £200 on Cheltenham, Coventry & Wrexham away tickets plus 3x coach tickets. Why do I put myself through this level of torture? #lcfc
@RFox55_: Marti In – massive second half boys clean sheet and a 1-0 win!! Get in can’t wait for Boxing Day, merry Christmas all. Nepenthez out.
@W12_Charlie: Marti getting sacked at Loftus Road would be the icing on the cake 🤣🤣🤣 #QPR
@leicesterboys92: The club moving normal people’s wages back with no notice. Going 1-0 down inside 2 minutes. The club has lost the family friendly identity from top to bottom and as much as I hate to say it we deserve every bit of it. #LCFC
@lee1978lcfc: Don’t go Boxing day and make a point against the Manager/Team/Owners – Don’t let this football club spoil your Xmas … Spend it with family and friends … This club don’t give a shit about its staff so it really doesn’t care about us fans – Make a stand – empty seats. #lcfc 💙🦊
@PossiblyGeorge: I have an idea, pay the staff at the club for Christmas and cut the payments from the players instead because they are fucking shit #LCFC
@jhandford11: When you support a football team that’s going through a rough patch, you take it. Football, since birth, has worked in phases. But, when you’re club is being run into the ground and mismanaged at the same time, it’s harder to take #LCFC
@ragsyrai: Been here for Marti and he’s been handed such a shit squad, but any manager who gets bullied by their old club is never going to work out here, if you can’t engage with your team on how to beat a side you’ve known inside out you have no hope #LCFC
Ayew and Bobby leading the team talk after the 3rd….. the constant enigma of Leicester City continues 🤯 😢 Fullbacks getting roasted. Discipline has been poor. #lcfc #leicester pic.twitter.com/QlknyDTTui
