It has been confirmed this morning that Manchester United have sacked Jose Mourinho after two and a half years in charge.
In that time he has won the League Cup and Europa League, but with the club sixth in the Premier League, an incredible 19 points behind the league leaders Liverpool, who the Red Devils lost to on Sunday, the club have given his the axe.
Manchester United has announced that Jose Mourinho has left the Club.

MANCHESTER UNITED CLUB STATEMENT:
“Manchester United announces that manager Jose Mourinho has left the club with immediate effect.
“The club would like to thank Jose for his work during his time at Manchester United and to wish him success in the future.
“A new caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the current season, while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager.”
