Some Man Utd fans were left reeling after having a ‘Glazers Out’ flag confiscated with the hated owner watching on at Wembley.
Some Man Utd fans protested the ownership at the Carabao Cup final, which saw Manchester United win their first trophy in six years, with a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United.
Avram Glazer, a controversial co-owner of the Red Devils, made a rare appearance at Wembley to see his side, but the arrival was met with jeers from Man U fans and cries of “Glazer out!” chants. Some were also unhappy at Sir Alex Ferguson choosing to sit beside him.
While some could proudly display their flags at the event, others were restricted from carrying their green and yellow banners that read “Glazers Out”, and now footage of an incident quickly circulated on social media which sparked anger…

Erik ten Hag revealed that he was congratulated by Avram Glazer as offers come in to buy the club from Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Glazer is said to have wanted to “show his intentions” with his presence at the final, attending only his sixth Man Utd match in the last four years.
The Man Utd supporters booed Glazer after he was shown on the big screen at the national stadium and he was filmed congratulating Ten Hag in the stands and outside the dressing room on Sky Sports.
“He was really happy, really happy for the club, as an owner. So I was really wanted (him) to be part of it. He was in the dressing room, very good he was there to show his intentions.”
When asked if that indicated Glazer’s stance on investment in the club, Ten Hag replied: “I don’t know, I’m not involved in that process.
“Thank you for the question. But I think the way that he is here shows you feel that he is committed about the process, about what he wants is not for me. I have to perform this team, this dressing room and others at the club are involved in the decisions about ownership, etc.

Sky Sports’ Gary Neville talked about the possible takeover of Manchester United and thought the fans have concerns that the current owners, the Glazer family, will actually remain at the club.
Speaking a week ago, he said: “I think what scares Man Utd fans most is the feeling this Man Utd ownership are running this process to drive a massive price up to try to somehow establish a level which means two of them can stay in and the rest of the family that want out can be bought out by an American fund who wouldn’t mind owning a minority or significant share but not the entirety of the share.
“That’s the biggest concern. The whole emphasis at this moment in time from Man Utd fans is this has to be the end of the Glazer ownership.
“They’ve run out of money, they’ve not invested in the stadium… the fans want a new stadium, whether that’s Old Trafford refurbished or a new one rebuilt, we need new facilities. Man Utd’s stadium is behind a lot of the big [clubs] in Europe.
“The sporting project they’ve failed on in the last 10 years since Sir Alex Ferguson left. It’s doing quite well at the moment, third in the league but it’s not where Man Utd want to be.
“I still think there is a focus that this isn’t one big charade that the Glazers are running to try to establish a value which would be for their brothers and sisters to exit and the couple that want to stay in to stay. There’s a priority at this moment in time for them to go.”
This is what Twitter users said as Man Utd fans were left reeling after having ‘Glazers Out’ flag confiscated with the hated owner watching on…
