Man Utd fan uploads near two hour long film called ‘David de Gea: Fraud’ on Twitter

A Man Utd fan uploads a near two-hour long film called ‘David de Gea: Fraud’ on Twitter and it of course has since gone viral.

The 32 year old’s future at the Premier League giants has been described as “in the balance” as he is out of contract and a new deal at Old Trafford is yet to be signed off.

Man Utd are expected to hold talks with the goalkeeper after his wedding, which is taking place in Spain this weekend, but with his time potentially at an end at Old Trafford, one fan certainly looks ready to see the back of him.

De Gea has won the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Europa League, but for this one fan, it’s his errors in goal have been a cause for a United supporter to upload an extensive compilation.

Last season, he also won the Premier League’s Golden Glove award after keeping 17 clean sheets in 38 games, conceding 43 goals in the process.

Twitter user @EriksButcher posted a one-hour, 49-minute long video of the Spaniard.

Titled ‘David de Gea: Fraud’, it highlights all of his mistakes from his debut season to the present day.

They also show some from his international appearances with Spain with the video long enough to be classed as a feature film.

His contract came to an end on Friday with no decision over whether he will remain, though it’s understood the framework of a contract extension that had been agreed was subsequently changed.

This has led to both sides stepping back to reflect on the situation and preferred direction, with face-to-face talks expected to happen.

United remain in contact with De Gea, who responded to speculation around his future was to post a yawning emoji on Twitter earlier this week.

Gary Neville called for Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag to replace David de Gea as he insisted the club wouldn’t win the title until they had a “world-class goalkeeper”.

It was the keeper’s mistake to allow Ilkay Gundogan’s shot to dribble past him for Man City’s decisive second goal that led Neville to insist a new keeper is needed.

“I don’t want to have a go at a goalkeeper who has been brilliant for Manchester United for the last ten years. He has had difficult moments and I didn’t think he was good enough to be a Manchester United goalkeeper at the beginning,” he told The Overlap Live.

“He was too slight, lacked the physicality. I gave him a lot of criticism. There was a period in the middle for four or five years where he was very good and performing at a high level. He was their best player when they were a poor team, but he still performed at a high level.

“Then in the last couple of years, he [Roy Keane] said it, you cannot let that goal in, the second one. Being Manchester United goalkeeper is the hardest position in English football. It brings the most scrutiny.

“I had two great keepers in Peter Schmeichel and Edwin van der Sar but in between that we lost four titles out of five. You have to have a world-class goalkeeper and United need to make that change now.”

Roy Keane also wants to see De Gea move on.

“I’d move him on quickly. He wouldn’t be for me, he’s not going to get Manchester United back winning trophies, absolutely not. The idea that the players are patting him on the back is ridiculous, that’s his job,” Keane said.

“You wouldn’t keep him as a No. 2. He wouldn’t want that, he wouldn’t stay for that. He’s done okay, he’s won a few Player of the Year awards – but what big deal is that? It’s about what the team is achieving.

“I think he’s made far too many mistakes over the years. He was trying to leave the club for a few years ago and go to Real Madrid.”

Here’s what social media users said after a Man Utd fan uploads a near two hour long film called ‘David de Gea: Fraud’ on Twitter…

@PitsoRonnie: Lol. You really hate De Gea right? 🤷🏽‍♂️

@Utd_Olly15: “Mental Health” shouts when it’s Sancho, Rashford, Maguire etc but completely blown out the window for De Gea 🤐

@Obajemujnr_: I remember our lowest season, when De Gea was the saving grace. Putting up 109 minutes of video to discredit De Gea is an all-time low and a shame.

@ktwood2524: One sad sad man to spend nearly 2 hours putting this together. Yes it’s time for De Gea to leave but he’s been a great servant for the club and deserves a little respect

@HeshComps: This man made a full length feature film of De Gea’s mistakes. No matter how hard you try, you’ll never truly hate a footballer as much as this man hates De Gea.

@DDG___1: Without even watching the full video 60% aren’t even mistakes

@TerryLyons_: Honestly how long did it take to make that?

@Winziboy: Take it easy bro, he might not be perfect for the present system but he’s been excellent and faithful over the years. He’s our legend and one of the best goalie the epl has witnessed. Respect him!

@nut00003: There’s unemployment, and there’s “create a feature length film slandering your own clubs keeper” level unemployment.

@KoreanClaret: Didn’t even know you can upload video of that length on twitter

@ItsARonThing: the job market cant be that dead

@nufcconnolly10: all i’m saying is watching that about 105 mins of it is probs just normal goals scored against him

@randyshmithers: Anybody joining Utd would want to look at how their fans treat one of their longest serving and most talented players

@conalloreilly7: I understand people not rating him but to do stuff like this and say he isn’t a legend is disgusting show some respect towards the man and let him leave in peace

@_23seasons: So many occasions where he’s saved us from humiliation but for some reason some hitting at him. It’s unfortunate tbh

@ccfc_james7: Sad and pathetic really. Why expunge the effort.

@7HagCountUrDays: 1 hour 49 minutes of de gea “mistakes”. According to United fans he’s by far the biggest problem at the club, so I’m expecting a quadruple next season without him
