Man City fans took up the opportunity to mock Kurt Zouma with their cat song and Erling Haaland swears twice in his epic post-match interview.
The 22 year old Norwegian silenced the doubters on Sunday with two goals on his Manchester City Premier League debut against West Ham.
But he couldn’t quite hide his annoyance at not scoring more in his post-match interview as he accidentally letting out a couple of expletives, which manager Pep Guardiola saw as a positive thing.
“It’s a bit shit.”
“Shit, sorry.”

Haaland sprung in life, his debut in the Premier League off to a flying start, scoring a penalty and later slotting past West Ham’s substitute keeper Alphonse Areola in his side’s 2-0 opening game win.
When asked about the chance that could have landed him a hat-trick from a Ilkay Gundogan cross, Haaland said: “Yeah I could’ve. If you saw, I could’ve right before I went off, I should’ve been there, so.
“Bit s***, but that’s how it is.”
After a few seconds of silence, he was clearly unaware he’d just sworn on live TV, before being apologetic when interviewer Geoff Shreeves politely reminded him not to swear.
“Oh sorry, s***.” he said, before putting his hand to his mouth and apologising again.
“Oh sorry! Not good language in this country!” he laughed.
Guardiola said the hunger to score more reminds him of one of his former strikers.
“I like it,” he said. “I was fortunate as a manager to be with [Lionel] Messi and if he scored two, he wanted three. If he scored three, he wanted four.
“If he got four, he wanted five. The top goalscorers, the strikers, they are never satisfied. They are always starving.”
Another moment that had fans laughing was when Man City fans took the opportunity to mock Kurt Zouma, coming up with the song ‘that’s how your cat felt’ whilst the player was struggling with an injury of some sort…

Man of the match: Erling Haaland
Haaland was called a “weapon” by his manager Pep Guardiola following a standout display, while the quality on show from a team perspective also pleased the Spaniard.
“Last two years we couldn’t do it here,” he said. “We make an exceptional performance everywhere today. We were much more aggressive. Against Liverpool it was really, really poor, but today we played really well.
“Of course Erling scoring his first two goals is important for him. He has a good threat. Another weapon that we have now, but he isn’t going to solve all of our problems. We talk about the team, the way we want to play, the way we want to create chances. We found the right moments with the goals today.”
When asked about silencing critics following Haaland’s performance in the Community Shield, Guardiola replied: “One week ago he could not adapt in the Premier League, now he’s alongside Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer and Cristiano Ronaldo. We want all the new guys to be happy. Feel happy in the city, feel happy in the team. We want to try and give everything to him to become a better player.
“He was very calm, in handling a lot of criticism this week. The way he took the ball for the penalty, I like that. You need to show ambition. I really like that. What I want is ‘be part of something’. The debate is over, I know he is going to score goals.
“I was fortunate as a manager to be with (Lionel) Messi; if he scores one he wants two, two he wants three. The top strikers, they are never satisfied. They are always hungry, starving. But I want to involve all of the new players. Fresh legs and fresh minds, then onto the next one.”
Moyes said his West Ham side were outfoxed by Man City.
“Really difficult,” he accepted. “City played really well. They’ve changed from last year. We found it hard today. Tactically they’ve changed. We found it hard to outnumber them in the middle of the pitch.
“We found it difficult to cope when they got it wide. We hadn’t prepped for that, because we hadn’t seen it. It was really difficult tactically today.
“We tried to do it, but we couldn’t get near them today. I hope that next time we play them we might be able to offer something different. Both full-backs played either side of Rodri, which was a problem. That’s how I saw it.
“We hung in, stuck at it, against a team that have completely outplayed us. There were bits where we tried, we tried to alter it and gain some possession, but today the talk should be about Man City. They played very well.”
Twitter users reacted as Man City fans mock Zouma with their cat song and Haaland swears twice in his epic post-match interview…

@marxistmatty: fair play city.
@SxrgioSZN: Alvarez getting justice for Kurt Zouma’s cat. You love to see it
@StevenMcinerney: Didn’t need another reason to love Alvarez, but nearly knocking Zouma out will do nicely…
@Patrick42115987: Did anybody else have a little chuckle and think about Kurt Zouma’s cat when he took that ball full in the face
@APalaceS2: Zouma getting walloped in the face by the ball…that’s for all the cats.

ON HAALAND SWEARING:
@1Rhys_Dave: So cringe hearing someone tell a grown man “steady with the language”.
@croakspkr: Glad I’m in Germany where you can just say words like ”shit“ and nobody gives a fuck. No censorship at all. Let players, and anyone else on public tv interviews, express their thoughts and emotions
@VaughanJon: Love this guy
@ryanadsett: So refreshing for the Premier League honestly
@Arma1990: Shows how pathetic and sheltered the British public are. Who cares if he swears and says shit
@ConorMcGrace: Two match ban, I presume?
@JDunnWilson: Absolutely brilliant. A classic joke playing out in real time
@jayCfraser: Already a legend
@qprcarlos: The lad is box office!
@LiamDaly1704151: gonna be a big character in English football
@Matt9Roberts: Haha! Exactly what this league needed
@SmiffyLJ: “Steady with the language” how embarrassing
