It came five minutes after Nemanja Matic put Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s side 1-0 up, giving them a real chance at beating their rivals for a place at Wembley.
The current Premier League holders were much the better side after the restart, having many an opportunity to extend their aggregate scoreline, but kept blowing their chances.
Despite losing the second leg, Pep Guardiola’s men managed to see off United, winning 3-2 on aggregate to confirm their place in the League Cup final against Aston Villa at Wembley on March the 1st.
Regarding the plane gestures by fans, it wouldn’t be surprising if the men were arrested or had action taken against them.
This also happened back in December last year. City were already forced to offer their help to the police after one of their supporters allegedly made monkey gestures towards Manchester United star Fred.
In March 2019, Crystal Palace promised to take strong action after one of their fans was caught making a plane gesture in the midweek game against United.

Unfortunately pal, there are some sicko's out there. It gives the wrong impression on a fan base making it seem like they're all like it. You get a small group that ruin it for everyone.
