Macclesfield players set to postpone Saturday’s fixture against Crewe

Fans have gave their thoughts to the Macclesfield Town players and staff posting their side’s clash against Crewe Alexandra due to the lack of payment…

@GazBWFC58: Let’s not forget the EFL chair deemed Ken Anderson as fit for purpose and with enough money to safely complete the season last year. Apparently we were lucky to have Ken according to Jevans predecessor. They don’t give a shit

@MikeBailey1812: Another footballing debacle unfolding under your watch Debbie Jeavons @EFL. Clueless

@Max_Bell_11: Total solidarity with the Macclesfield players. It feels like there might be no relegation from League Two this season after all…

@KarlPG: Some of the stories coming out of Macclesfield Town FC are heartbreaking. These are not millionaire footballers, they earn a normal wage.

@Matt_Vare: kids without xmas presents. players homeless. one phoned talksport this morning to say his car was being repossessed. hes ruining lives, he has no conscience and has the audacity to say everything is fine

@duncanburrow: I don’t think they should be playing personally, if you are having your car repossessed, worried about your house being repossessed, then your mind isn’t focused properly. You run the risk of serious injury which could end your career. The owners need to sort this out fast.

@AccordingToPauI: I really feel for Macclesfield as a club especially for their fans but you have to ask what the hell a League Two club just out of non league is doing offering a deal to Sol Campbell that causes them to owe £182,000 after just 12 months on their already limited finances.
