7th May #1990 the last game on the infamous sloping pitch at #LoakesPark (Steve Guppy on the ball). @wwfcofficial played a #MartinONeil assembled international XI — including #GeorgeBest — at the end of his first season as manager. The start of the glory years. I must have been one of the youngest on the pitch on the final whistle to get a piece of hallowed turf!
