Admir Bristric calls his fellow teammates over to celebrate with Russell Martin with Leicester going on to beat Fulham U21 6-1.
The Foxes got their EFL Trophy campaign underway with a big win, playing in the competition for the first time since the 2008–09 season.
Admir Bristric produced a hat-trick (14′, 24′, 34′), Tom Watson got himself a brace (40′, 45+2′) and Bobby Reid added to the scoreline (50′). Seth Chingwaro got a consolation goal for Fulham just before half time.

When asked on his celebration, Bristric said, as per Leicester Mercury: “I wanted to do it because we speak all the time that we are together, that we all need to do things together,.
“I was calling all the teammates from the bench and from the pitch to come here and celebrate together. But some of them didn’t listen!”
Russell Martin said: “Bless him, I think he wanted the lads to come over and celebrate with him, but he wanted to give me a hug in support of me and what we’re trying to do, which I’m really grateful for.
“We have a great relationship, he’s not been in the squad, but he chose to come and give me a cuddle and celebrate, which I think shows what we’re trying to build here and how much everyone is behind it.”

Russell Martin said after the game, as per the club website:
“We created really brilliant energy from the start. I think we played some amazing football and scored some brilliant goals. We hunted the ball, won it back a lot and got a few goals from that.
“I’m annoyed at the goal we conceded and I said to the guys it’s my job to always be so demanding of them and we took our foot off the gas just before half-time, at 5-0 up. It’s frustrating to concede a goal, because Franco [Ravizzoli] didn’t deserve that.
“On the whole, a really positive night. The intention to make it that was good. All in all, it’s really pleasing because these games can be difficult sometimes. You have to turn them into the game you want it to be and we did.
“We have to try and live there all the time. We had it at MK Dons and Barnsley when we were so dominant and should win the games but that’s the next bit for us and we have to create that. We’re this close from being a really good team. We can feel that inside the building, we all can.
“Everyone feels that it’s coming and we worked a lot after Saturday on creating a bit more and having a bit more conviction in the box. We aren’t always going to be successful, we’re going to fail sometimes. But if we do, it’ll be in our way.
“On Saturday, we failed too many times with that last little bit of edge, which comes with some young players and the journey we’ve been on, but we’re going to get there, I’m convinced of that. Tonight will do us a lot of good.”

Here’s how social media users reacted after Admir Bristric calls his fellow teammates over to celebrate with Russell Martin with Leicester going on to beat Fulham U21 6-1…
@lcfcjoss: Wtf just happened. Good from Bristric and happy for him but why has he tried to get the whole team to celebrate with Russell after being left out of recent squads 😭😭
@Hennerz77: They’re all aware of how much abuse Martins had probably trying to show they’re in support of him, but telling that only 3 players went over 2 of them haven’t been in the squad for near a month
@Mattt_lcfc: Non issue this. Young striker in a new country, give him time. It’s a good sign that he’s not upset and the team harmony is good, same page and understand playing times/roles.
@lcfcjoss: It’s not an issue just thought it was awkward and random. It’s his first goal for the club completely fine with him celebrating but calling the team over to celebrate with the manager against some u21s don’t think he read the room
@Mattt_lcfc: Maybe not, but at least it shows a good image.
@ollieg21296: Good for Bristric. Bit awkward trying to get the players over to Martin and only having 2 others join him 😬😅
@tomatosauce8888: Bristrić celebration well was something 🤣
@Elm_665: Fucking hell, that’s so awkward 🤣🤣🤣
@ReeceLSport: Not a single second of this I didn’t cringe or find it hilarious. Poor Russell
@beckytLCFC: Can’t cope with how absolutely awkward this is 😂😂😂
