A Leeds fan named ‘Paul’ called into radio saying he wants Daniel Farke SACKED after going top of league with a 4-3 win at Swansea.
Manor Solomon’s double and Wilfried Gnonto’s late winner helped Leeds sealed all three points, but while being very pleased with the win, the fan took issue with Farke’s tactics.
A clip of the caller’s interview after the Championship fixture was uploaded onto social media, and has since gone on to get thousands of views, and caused quite the reaction.
“His tactics are inept. He should go now.” 😳

Paul: “Well I’m very pleased about today, and I think it’s because we’re top of the league.
“But, I’ve got a bittersweet about our manager/coach. The tactics is displayed in the second half when we were pressing in our own box, it’s like schoolboy football is that.
“We were not tackling. We’re not pressing in their half at all. But another 10 minutes, we would have been 4-4.
“I think he should go now and let’s get a manager that can keep us when we go, keep us in that Premiership because he won’t.”
Presenter: “I think you’ll have people shouting at the radio, Paul. I think you’ll have people saying, hang about. The top the top of the table, they’ve just won 4-3 away from home at Swansea. What you on about?”
Paul: “Three of the goals should never have been conceded because of these tactics. He’s lost at home to Burnley in the same tactics even though it was 1-0.
“His tactics are inept and won’t suit the Premiership.”
Leeds boss Daniel Farke speaking to Sky Sports: “I did not see that coming! I thought it would be a draw. Swansea normally never concede.
“This is football. Sometimes unpredictable and a great advertisement for the league. Both teams could have done better defensively.
“When you concede three goals, normally you have no chance. Today we showed togetherness and to score four goals, it is outstanding. Great attitude and great spirit. You need this heart and spirit, this is what we showed today.”
On being top of the league, Farke added: “Of course a good feeling and we deserve it. We are on a good path. The best league is the Premier League but the toughest is the Championship.”
Farke, per BBC Sport:
“It feels great [to be top], especially after such a game. It’s an advertisement for this league – I think Sky Sports will be pretty happy and also we are happy after a massive win.
“I didn’t see that coming. I expected a tight game, never a 4-3 because it’s so difficult to score goals against Swansea.
“But it was an excellent game for the supporters and for the neutrals as well. I think in the end we deserved to win because we won more or less every statistic.
“We were a bit sleepy in added time at the end of the first half and a bit sleepy in added time at the end of the second half, but in between we were excellent.”
Swansea City head coach Luke Williams said post match, per BBC Sport:
“I think it was a very high level game. Both sides played a very high level of football.
“But I think the quality of Leeds was the difference.
“If you watch the replay [of the Bianchini goal], you will notice I don’t celebrate too much because I know the quality of opposition we are against and we have conceded a lot of late goals unfortunately.
“I am not so much frustrated, disappointed really because I thought we may be able to hold out to get a point but Leeds made a brilliant action and punished us.”
Luke Williams speaking to Sky Sports: “It was a close game but they deserved to beat us in the end. It was unusual but for us to have so many goals in the game, it was a very high level.
“Unfortunately we were the wrong side of it. For the most part, we did really well.
“We tried to establish ourselves in the game but they don’t make too many mistakes and we paid the price. The goals were not offside so not frustrated by it.
“This is the best team in the division and to be able to score against them like we did, is a real positive. We have to get on with winning more games now. Not all the teams are at that level.
“Results are coming, I have no doubt about that.”
Here’s the Twitter reaction on Leeds fan ‘Paul’ who wants Daniel Farke SACKED after going top of league with a 4-3 win at Swansea…
@TipsySnakehipsy: Paul is a prick and he should go and support Man City or someone else.
@NeilsDiamond: Stuff like this gets clicks but stoking the narrative when we are top of the league is poor. One or two dropped points and its meltdown again
@j1mmymclaughlin: I think Paul had a few too many beers on the coach back
@billywigwam13: Not sure we should be focussing on Paul’s comments. We are top of the league & although we could have some future concerns. Right now, the concept of people wanting Farke out is absolutely bonkers. But don’t be highlighting this minority #lufc #MOT
@Kershaw444: This is the issue you see, some fans are just clueless and give their opinions as is we are Man City in the championship, we have spent more time in the football league than the premier league in the last 20 years
@DraytonCanary1:
Crikey
I know a Leeds fan and naturally Daniel farke as a manager more
Last season was a one off where usually he’d have gone up
Just didn’t turn up for the one off playoff final
Such a resounding championship manager who gets points consistently at this level
@Neilfax: A special kind of stupid is this opinion given we have just gone top of the league and Farke has got over 90 points in is last 3 seasons of being a manager in the Championship 🤣
@SamCLFC: ‘He can’t keep us in the premiership’ Paul we have to get there first you fucking entitled sausage
@SCFCJosh96: 8 years ago Leeds would have been in dreamland if they went top of the championship in late november
@AndyGarside5: What are Paul’s football credentials??? At end of day DF has, again, steadied things after key departures during aug /sept, we’ve hammered the blades and are now top of the league. DF deserves much respect, not “Paul “ !! MOT
@TopTipping1: Top of the league and you get this nonsense. I know it’s not flashy, but I’d rather scrape promotion than not!
@Leedzzlad: If folk can’t be happy when top of the league then they need to find another interest. This caller will never find joy in football if even being top of league doesn’t give him some kind of comfort. Poor Lad.
@andrewp70659973: Football and Leeds is not for you Paul
@cal_sez: Daft. The league is a lot worse than previous seasons, Farke can be annoying in many aspects but he’s still the best man for the job.
@leedsunited2033: One of the best Points to game Ratios in the clubs History, Why I don’t listen to anyones opinions because some people are Thick as fuck and its scary how many there are
I once rang a local radio phone in to ask for our manager to be sacked after a 4-3 win which sent us top of the league https://t.co/vtQda9v6Zv pic.twitter.com/sLjwwUgpGM
