Leeds fan handed a ban for lifting his child in the air whilst celebrating goal

After reading the letter, fans took to debate whether it was the right decision, but also whether what the father was doing was right or wrong…

@Rhin01997: Very strange thing to do but not sure it merits a ban, caution might’ve been better

@XsiowenisX: The club would be blamed if (and thank god it I didn’t) anything happened

@lfc2384: Newborn babies should not even be allowed in the ground. Signs are up stating this. So theturnstile operator should be sacked. The guy needs a lifeban. The ears are far from fully devoloped and the child easy might be deaf if not now in months, even years to come! Disgusting

@ryanwest94: This is spot on from Leeds, holding your young baby up when it’s kicking off. Anything could be thrown over and hit that baby.

@dansheppard1985: Anyone who thinks he’s done nothing wrong either hasn’t got kids or is a moron. Completely irresponsible parenting. Should be sterilised to ensure he doesn’t poison the gene pool further

Jay Page: Now I work at a football ground, I have to say that people bring babies in.all the time. I dont see how it’s a safety issue if I’m honest. Think this is complete over kill in my opinion

Ryan Davidson: I use to throw my wee one in the air …. as high as possible and I felt safe and I felt my child was safe and my child absolutely loved it I know that … looks to me like the wee one is pretty safe

Kev Webster: Really??? Is it April 1st today?? The fucking worlds gone mad.

Dom Thornhill: Absolute joke
