League Two Manager and Player of the Month nominations for October

The month of October has passed and now the English Football League have announced the managers and players nominated for the monthly awards.

GRAHAM ALEXANDER (Salford City)

The EFL state:The adjustment to life as a Sky Bet EFL club has been gradual for Salford. Through it all, Alexander has maintained a consistency of approach that began to reap proper rewards in October with 10 points gained from five games.

GARY BOWYER (Bradford City)

The EFL state:His calm approach to bedding in summer signings began to pay off as Bradford established themselves in the promotion picture. A nine-point haul from four games included consecutive 2-1 wins against Swindon, Morecambe and Crawley.

JOHN DEMPSTER (Mansfield Town)

The EFL state: After Mansfield narrowly missed out on automatic promotion last season, Dempster learned that expectations come with the manager’s job at The One Call Stadium. 10 points and 12 goals from five games say that he is coping admirably with it.

MICHAEL DUFF (Cheltenham Town)

The EFL state: Postponements limited Cheltenham to just three games, yet Duff ensured that wins over Walsall and Macclesfield maintained his side’s momentum as they took seven points from a possible nine to stay in the top three.
