Ten League Two matches were completed across the
weekend — and several produced numbers every bit
as interesting as the final scores.

Chesterfield dominated almost every conventional
attacking measure and still left Cheltenham
empty-handed. Bristol Rovers extended a remarkable
home run, while Crewe found yet another way to remain
unbeaten without actually winning.

And if that wasn’t enough, one goal arrived after
just 21 seconds and another match changed twice
during stoppage time.

Chesterfield had almost everything.
Except the points.

Cheltenham beat Chesterfield 2–1 despite the
visitors producing a remarkable set of attacking
numbers.

Chesterfield had 27 shots, put 12 on target,
enjoyed 66.7% possession and won 11 corners.
Cheltenham still walked away with the numbers
that mattered most: two goals and three points.

Home really is home for Bristol Rovers.

A 1–0 victory over Exeter extended Bristol Rovers’
extraordinary run at the Memorial Stadium.

Fabrizio Cavegn scored the winner as Rovers recorded
an 11th consecutive home league victory — a new
club EFL record.

Bristol Rovers keep winning at home. Crewe,
meanwhile, have found a rather different way
of refusing to lose.

Crewe still haven’t lost.
There’s just one catch.

A 1–1 draw at Rotherham kept Crewe’s unbeaten
League Two start intact.

Eight matches into the campaign, their record
stood at two wins, six draws and no defeats.

Crewe also failed to register a shot on target
at Rotherham.

So yes, the unbeaten record remains. But the
sequence now contains six consecutive draws.

Crewe took the full 90 minutes to add another
draw to the collection. At Swindon, Accrington
needed barely any time at all to make their mark.

Accrington Stanley were ahead at Swindon after
only 21 seconds through Josh Woods.

Joseph Hungbo equalised later in the first half
and the match finished 1–1.

Five minutes of stoppage-time chaos.

Shrewsbury and Colchester entered added time
level at 1–1.

What followed was the sort of finish that punishes
anyone trying to beat the traffic.

Isaac Fletcher put Shrewsbury ahead in the
92nd minute and appeared to have won it.

Three minutes later, Moses Sesay struck for
Colchester to rescue a 2–2 draw.

The weekend wasn’t only about strange scorelines
and late drama. At Fleetwood, one goal also carried
a little piece of EFL history.

53 — a new benchmark for Aden Flint.

Flint found the net as Rochdale won 2–1
at Fleetwood.

It was his 53rd EFL goal since the 2004/05
rebrand, excluding play-offs, taking him beyond
Peter Clarke for the most by a defender across
that period.
