Laura Woods brilliantly destroys a Twitter user, claiming to be a Peterborough fan, with a savage reply after receiving sexist abuse.
The TV and radio sports host refused to let an anonymous social media troll get the last laugh as she superbly ridiculed the abuser’s disgusting insult.
Woods sent a simple message via Twitter following Sheffield Wednesday’s League One playoff win over Peterborough United.
Wednesday advanced to the final with a thrilling 5-1 win over Peterborough, before winning the match on penalties.
Woods labelled Darren Moore’s comeback following a defeat in the first leg as ‘outstanding.’ But was subsequently subjected to vile sexist insults.
The public account does not reveal the identity of the abuser that called Woods a ‘slut’ in response to her initial tweet.
If the alleged Peterborough fan thought that they could silence the 35-year old, they were wrong as she did what she does to abuse from trolls.
Woods played on the insult by making fun of Peterborough’s loss in the playoff. Her followers were left laughing at her short comeback.
Woods retorted: ‘Except it’s you that’s been bent over tonight eh.’

Her response has since has gone on to get 330,000 views, as of writing, with many amused at the genius reply.
In 2020, Laura Woods opened up on dealing with sexist trolls as a talkSPORT host.
“One thing you will never get away from being a woman is a different kind of criticism that is attached to your gender,” she told the Mail on Sunday. “It shouldn’t be there but it is.
“If I put a picture up on Twitter because I think it illustrates a point or it’s something I’m doing, people say I’m begging for attention.
“Even when I got this job, people said I had got it because of the way I look. That makes me laugh. This is radio. How I look is irrelevant.
“I just expect sexism to be there. If I interact with another woman on social media, someone will say something sexually charged.
“If I interview someone, there will be a question intimating I have had sex with them. If I get a new job, there will be comments about how I have slept my way to the top.
“Sometimes, it’s like a jab in the guts. It’s hideous. It winds you for a minute. Sometimes, you go to sleep thinking about it. I think more now about the importance of mental health.
“The way I try to tackle these things is that it makes me try harder. That is my challenge. It makes me want to say: ‘Watch me break through that and get to the next level.”
