Latest new kits from Premier League and EFL clubs for 2022/23 – 20th July

We take a look at the latest new kits from Premier League and EFL clubs for the 2022/23 season, and majority of them have gone down well.

The 2021/22 campaign is over and done with, so now their attention can only turn to the next one, and with clubs still needing cash to boost their finances to make up for the last few seasons, now is the perfect time to release them to supporters, plus with the start date earlier than usual in mind.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve come across a variety of kits, some looking rather nice, though others haven’t proved popular, and then you have you just plain average bunch. Take a look at the latest collection to be launched below over the next few pages, you can have your say on them too via our polls for each one…

The home shirt houses our traditional blue and white stripes, with a smart black pinstripe to either side. An intricate blue, white and black design adorns the collar, arms and trim through the shirt, black shorts and blue socks.

The away shirt is based on our iconic yellow kits of the past, while adding embossed stripes of the home shirt to give a modern SWFC twist on classic retro design. The shorts are the same blue, alongside tailored yellow socks.

The logo of our new principal partner, Host & Stay, takes pride of place on the front of both the home and away shirts.

Rovers are pleased to unveil a stylish tonal red shirt, featuring the famous Lancashire rose emblazoned across the torso.

There are many connotations to the red rose of Lancashire, including when it was used as Rovers’ official club crest in the 1970s and ‘80s.

Blue trim appears on the neckline and sleeves to complete the look and to complement our new home and away shirts, which have already proved popular with supporters.

As with our previous two releases, club partners Totally Wicked and Watson Ramsbottom feature as front-of-shirt and back-of-shirt sponsors respectively.

Introducing our 2022/23 away kit, which is sure to turn a few heads in League One this season.

Combining jet black with cool turquoise, our design is a nod to Bristol’s rich graffiti history with a spray paint pattern.

The turquoise theme continues down to the shorts and socks of the kit and is sure to prove popular amongst Gasheads this season.

Everton’s new 2022/23 away kit again pays tribute to the iconic Prince Rupert’s Tower – with a modern twist.

The away shirt, in an eye-catching rosebloom pink, features a distinctive, patriot blue pattern inspired by the angled roof of the tower in the Club crest – and amplified into a cool geometric print for 2022.

The away shirt is complemented by a tonal Club crest and a round, patriot blue neckline, with pink trim and block sleeves.

Mirroring the home kit, the traditional four hummel chevrons down the arms are pared back to two, providing a striking contrast with the sleeving.

The back-of-neck also features the famous Prince Rupert’s tower motif, which forms an integral part of this year’s overall kit branding.

Manchester City have released our 2022/23 PUMA away kit, which pays tribute to one of the Club’s most successful eras.

The new strip, which features diagonal red and black stripes, is inspired by the shirt worn during a golden period in which we won the 1969 FA Cup and the 1970 League Cup and European Cup Winners’ Cup.

That kit, which was conceived by the legendary Malcolm Allison, featured red and black vertical stripes and earned iconic status after being worn in the final of all three of those memorable triumphs.

Inspired by seasons past, the U’s will return to playing in the iconic blue and white striped home kits for the first time since the 2018/19 season with two all-new kits for the upcoming campaign.

Manufactured by Italian sports wear company, Macron, the U’s will have three bold blue stripes adorning the front of the home kit, with intricate blue and yellow detail around the collar and sleeves.

The U’s Clash Kit is a striking shade of red, with black trim around the collars and sleeves, accompanied with the camouflage that has been a main part of Colchester United’s kits over the last few seasons.

Both kits are sponsored by principal shirt sponsor, Workhorse Group, as part of a new two-year deal signed with the club earlier on in the year.

The navy sleeves make a return with an abstract geometric pattern giving the shirt a vibrant modern look and feel. The front of the shirt sees elements of the sleeve pattern subtly embossed, completing a truly bespoke design. The founding year detailing on the collar separates the U’s’ home shirt from the rest as new Technical Kit partner Macron get the finer detail right.

Earlier this week the partnership between the U’s and Bangkok Glass continued to grow, with this year’s home shirt displaying the BG logo for the very first time in alignment with their sponsorship of the Bangkok Glass Training Ground.

As a staple Oxford United partner, Polythene UK will also be returning as back of shirt sponsor for their 12th consecutive year.
