In this article, we look at the latest list of promotions and relegations in non league on what was another busy weekend of football.
AFC Rushden & Diamonds were relegated from the Southern League – Premier Central after drawing 0-0 at home to Leiston, who end the day in 3rd.
429 were present at Hayden Road. After a poor first half from the high flyers, the Blues had some good chances to win match but just couldn’t find that winner.
Leiston had one effort by Ben Fowkes in their only shot of the first period, with Will Davies denied by Dean Snedker from the spot after Fowkes was fouled in the area. Jake Hutchings twice went close while other balls into the box couldn’t be met. Rushden had attempts of their own also in a very good performance for the hosts.
Tadcaster Albion also lost their place in the Northern Premier League – East Division after a 2-0 loss at home to Stocksbridge Park Steels.
Stocksbridge broke the deadlock 24 minutes in when Tye-Bakerβs shot, which was going well wide, smashed his own teammate in the face and somehow deflected into the back of the net.
Then shortly after a massive chance for Luke Rawson as Porrittβs misjudgement saw the striker run through on goal but slide his shot wide, he made sure he was hitting target from close range with 25 minutes remaining.
North Ferriby have gained consecutive promotions as they go up as NCEL Premier champions, beating hackley AFC 1-0 away from home.
The hosts had had their chances but couldnβt quite convert, watching their opposition steal the points and be crowned the title winners.
The only goal of the game came just before the break, when Amir Berchil worked his magic to cut back for Josh Dennett, and the full back did the rest!
Retford United didn’t play today, but going into Saturday sat at the top with 70 points, and knew that if Dearne & District failed to win, then the title was confirmed.
Dearne ended up coming away with just a point and while they remain unbeaten since November, they now can’t catch Retford, who are now champions.
It’s been a frustrating afternoon.

– Retford United CMLN are champions and promoted dependent on passing the ground grading(which they will)
– Copthorne SCL2 have secured a top 5 finish and are promoted dependent on passing the ground grading
– Yarm & Eaglescliffe NRL have secured a top 5 finish and are promoted and are promoted dependent on the ground sharing rules
– Dunmow Town E&SBL have secured a top 5 finish and promoted dependent on passing the ground grading
