James McClean slams ‘pathetic creatures’ who sent messages to his wife after car crash

James McClean slams the ‘pathetic creatures’ who sent sick messages to his wife after the footballer’s car crash earlier this week.

The incident involved McClean being involved in a single-vehicle accident on his way to training on Wednesday morning, where his Audi reportedly sustained significant damage.

At 10am, he was still at scene, with Wrexham planning for the Birmingham game without him, but by 11am, he got himself to the team meeting, declaring that he was fine, with just cuts and bruises.

On Thursday, he captained the team and riled up Birmingham fans, then took to Instagram, where he posted a photo of his damaged vehicle, and said: “Now that the game’s out of the way, to address yesterday, an experience I never wish to encounter again.

“I am blessed and thankful I managed to walk away with minor injuries and return home to my family.”

“I thought especially in the second half we deserved to win it though. Incredible support.”

In the build-up to the match, Wrexham confirmed that a car crash involving one of their players had occurred in a statement on their website.

It read: “Wrexham AFC can confirm that a first-team player has been involved in a car accident this morning on his way to training.

“It was a single car accident with no other vehicles involved and the relevant local authorities were quickly present at the scene.

“The player reported to the club this morning and will undergo further medical checks.”

His wife Erin said via Instagram: “Leaving today feeling extremely thankful and blessed.

“Thank you for all the messages & kind words”.

This is how twitter users reacted as James McClean slams ‘pathetic creatures’ who sent sick online messages to his wife after the footballer’s car crash…

@w00kiee77: Absolutely pathetic the abuse he copped and how they wished it ended him, on top of messaging his wife! I can only imagine what they were saying if they thought that was a good idea… All need to be named and shamed

@joshwilliamsDNO: People messaging his mrs online sending death threats all because he wound you up in a footy game. Honestly the biggest bunch of cry baby’s who are rattled more than anyone.

@RobRyanRed: Absolute stains, lot of them

@godfrey_groome: Good news. Very lucky to get out of that.

@spencer_178: Yet they’ll always claim he’s rattled, thick fuckers

@p45880: Then played tonight and went at it like a man possessed, What a bloke

@WrexhamSunny147: Yet they say he’s the bad guy and the worst human being. Oh yeah, sure! Fucking idiots

@rob_mills7: I hope people who said nasty things to him and his wife re evaluate their lives after seeing these images. He is a human being and a father and even if you don’t agree with him, his children don’t deserve to have to hear that stuff

@Harleyrhys_: The same people that wished Macca’s career was over will get offended over this btw 🤭

@johnbowe1998: James McClean what a man dunno how he survived this and then a day later plays a full 90 minutes for Wrexham tough out so he is what a man 💪🏻🇮🇪 #WrexhamAFC #JamesMcClean

@colingarner1: Some of the comments posted on other posts is shocking! Forget your rivalry, forget your beliefs,James has a wife and kids at home! Hope all is well and wish a full recovery @Erineyy

@67Lanzarote: Unbelievable seeing people say James McClean should’ve died in his car crash, absolutely disgusting. Shows how much he gets under their skin, though. The man lives rent free in their heads. Get well soon James 🍀🇮🇪

@foreverayellow: Just grim some of the comments and messages said and sent about James McClean and his family, what is wrong with people?! Lowest of the low. Fair enough, if you don’t like him, you don’t like him. But don’t be going around thinking it’s perfectly fine to think let alone say such vile stuff.
