Is this the unluckiest Leeds fan in the world? One supporter has suggested it could be him after sharing the results to matches he’s attended since Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival.
Bielsa came to the club back in June 2018 has managed to turn his side’s fortunes around, from regular Championship mid-table finishes to promotion contenders.
Many a Leeds fan will no doubt speak of good memories they’ve had at matches they gone to whilst under Bielsa, one fan however revealed of the 13 games that they have attended, Leeds have failed to win any of them.
10 of those matches he went to were at Elland Road, and rather miserably for the fan, he’s seen them take just five points from a possible 30, drawing five and losing five. Ouch.
The three away games were defeats at Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham City, plus a 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough.
Since Bielsa has took charge here is the games I’ve attended

I’m coming to Bristol C and Hudds ? #lufc— LUFC Worldwide ⚪️ (@LUFC_WorldWide) February 5, 2020
@LUFC_WorldWide on Twitter revealed that the 13 games he’s attended, has forced him into catching 26 different flights and booking into seven different hotels.
He is set to attend games against Bristol City and Huddersfield Town at Elland Road before the end of the campaign.
The supporter has also joked that he will give away his membership if his bad luck continues.
The replies to this are fantastic. Leeds fans, I’m sorry, I’ll still be coming to the games. If we don’t win either game I’ll give away my membership. Law of averages ?

Another Twitter user, James Kuechel, replied to @LUFC_WorldWide: “I decided to run this through a binomial probability calculator. Given Bielsas win rate from 76 games is 53.95% the probability of picking 13 random games and never seeing a win is 3.x10-8. Thats “1-in-33.3Million” assuming all games are in equal circumstance (not a dry run).”
Fans continued to give their reaction to potentially the unluckiest Leeds United fan in the world, see what they had to say below…
Sadly, you know what you need to do, Side before self. Stay away #lufc #MOT

— Mark O'Hara (@Marcobatman) February 5, 2020
Never seen a more relevant thread for me. Travel over from Ireland every season. First game 1998 v Newcastle. Most recent game Wendies this year. Think I'm at 22 games in between the first and last.
1 win to date. Burton 5-0 in 2017.

All good and bad things must come to an end. Now that you've put this down in writing the curse has been lifted and you are no longer a pariah. Enjoy the victories that are coming your way.

I really want you to break your duck I honestly do and your commitment to the cause is more than admirable but I think you need to take one for the team and stay away until we’re home and hosed, should that ever happen ? #alaw
