Graham Potter joined English Premier League side Chelsea in September 2022, and he initially got off to a good start. However, since then, they’ve had a poor run of performances and haven’t managed to climb any higher than tenth in the league.

The question being asked here is, is Graham Potter already on borrowed time? Find out more right here.

Who is Graham Potter?

Graham Potter is a former men’s professional footballer and current manager of Chelsea. In his playing days, he had spells at Birmingham City, Stoke City, Southampton, West Bromwich Albion, and York City, to name just a few clubs.

The 47-year-old former left-back was born in Solihull, England, in May 1975, and since hanging up his boots for good, he eventually went into management, taking the reins at Leeds Carnegie, Östersund, and Swansea City before joining Brighton & Hove Albion in 2019, where he had his most successful time as a manager.

His next move to Chelsea was finalised on September 8th, 2022, when he signed a five-year contract. However, some say that Chelsea made a big mistake and that they either shouldn’t have gotten rid of Thomas Tuchel or that someone else should be in charge at Stamford Bridge.

If Chelsea sack Potter, who could be his replacement?

If you look at some of today’s biggest Premier League sports betting websites, some already have special markets for who might replace Graham Potter as the Chelsea manager.

It’s looking most likely that the man to replace Potter is Argentinian former Spurs and PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino. He’s currently priced at 2/1 in the UK fractional odds format, which gives him a 33.33% implied probability rate of joining the blues.

A closer look at the odds

2/1 in European decimal odds is the equivalent of 3.00, and in American/moneyline odds, it’s 200. Let’s take a quick look at the latest odds for some other potential candidates.

  • Luis Enrique: This Spanish manager has been at the helm of Roma, Celta, Barcelona, and the Spain national team. • Thomas Tuchel: This German national has managed Chelsea, PSG, Borussia Dortmund, Mainz 05, and FC Augsburg II.
