Fans took to Twitter to give their surprised reaction on his comments which has caused plenty of speculation on whether he’d stay or leave Ipswich…
What's the press view on this?
Just acting like a child & chucking his toys out the pram?
A ploy to get some transfer funds?
Or a genuine insight into the possibility he might walk before he's pushed?
I can't seem him walking as he would struggle to get another job.— Despicable ME (@reuserisgod) December 26, 2019
As usual when there has been a few poor performances Lambert diverts attention and focus away from team and on to him. Focus now on him rather than inept performances & results.

He’s asked a very simple question ‘would you like to stay at the club though Paul’ he takes an extremely long pause and then says ‘I’d love the club to do well etc etc etc’ completely ignored the question that had been asked ?

Totally bizarre. I honestly think it’s a deflection method. He knows results/performances haven’t been good enough of late. Hearing him say Paul Jewell “did great” though! That’s indefensible!

Lambert cannot take criticism,just sort the team out and get us out of this rut

It’s sad because I used to be a fan of PL, but he seems like he’s lost the plot a bit, would be surprised if he walked because this is probably his last chance with a team that should be in the Championship, probably just to distract everyone from the dire performance.

@GeorgePennell90: Looking forward to getting sacked £££
@StephenFoz: Just heard his @BBCSuffolk interview and he doesn’t sound like a man who sees his future at Portman Road. Probably been told there’s no transfer budget next month. Not great PR Paul.
@reuserisgod: Obviously knows he’s out of his depth
@jamesechase: Shows a lack of respect for fans and club. No one wants to hear a manager talk nonchalantly about such a privileged job. It’s unsettling and selfish. If I went into work and announced I didn’t care whether or not I worked there, I’d expect not to be working there much longer.
@steve_jones84: He can do one IMO. PR stunts masking the fact he really isn’t a very good manager.
@JordsBaldock: He’s lost the plot
@suffolkbhoy: Besides the free beer Lambo has only taken us backwards. Warnock please. Written in the stars #itfc
