We really don’t blame him as we probably would have done the same thing had we been in Mario’s place and possessed a similar bank account.

The retired professional soccer star from the Ivory Coast remains as the all-time leading goal scorer for the national team. Despite many an injury and surgery, he has been bestowed with the African Footballer of the Year title twice in 2006 and 2009. In his debut season with the EPL club, Chelsea, Drogba helped his team to clinch their first premier league title after 50 years and went on to become the first African footballer to score a whopping 100 league goals. Back in 2007, he built his own footballer house on his own 800 square meters of land near London and the total cost went as high as £15.9 million. The property has 8 bathrooms, 7 bedrooms, a number of smaller rooms for the kids, and room-museum awards. Pretty impressive, don’t you think?

Dennis hasn’t just played football throughout his life but he has also written a book titled Stillness and Speed: My Story in order to earn more money for his well-settled family comprising of his wife and four children.

The iconic football star has been hailed as one of the greatest the world has ever witnessed. His contribution towards Brazilian football has been massive, and he has inspired many a youngster during his time to take up the sport. His investment in a spectacular waterfront mansion in East Hampton hit the headlines in 1979. The property had everything to suit Pele’s luxurious lifestyle, and since he has never compromised with anything in his life and career, he didn’t think twice before shelling out almost $2.85 million from his banks for the property. We are not aware of the estate’s current price tag after selling it off, but Pele has surely added on to his already existing $100-million net wealth.
