Hull City’s team bus has had a window smashed ahead of their Championship playoff final clash against Middlesbrough.
Sadly, building up to the richest game in football, it has been marred by antics of someone who decided to cause trouble outside a team’s hotel.
Players and staff are slowly making their way onto the coach around 1pm, thankfully safe to do so after some work on it, so that they can make their way to Wembley for the 3:30pm kick off.
Hull Daily Mail reporter Baz Cooper said: “Classy behaviour… No Hull City players were on board the team bus at the time it was attacked. #hcafc”

Sky Sports News reported on it: “Let’s just start though with an update ahead of a hugely anticipated playoff final.
“The Hull team bus has had a window smashed this afternoon after objects were thrown at it on the way to the team hotel.
“Tim Thornton has more details for us.
“Countdown well underway.
“As you can see, the Hull players are just arriving out of the team hotel and onto the bus. We’ve just seen Ollie McBurnie, top goalscorer for the season, get onto the bus.
“If my cameraman just swings to the right we can actually show you some damage to the team bus on its way to pick up the players.
“Some stones and bottles have been thrown at the bus, so there has been some damage, they’ve had to knock out some of the glass on the exterior of the window.
“But still okay for the players to make the very very short journey to Wembley Stadium from here at the team hotel which is just a few hundred yards away so the players.
“Bit by bit they are making their way onto the team bus. We expect them to leave in the next few minutes ready for the biggest game of their lives as they take on Middlesbrough at Wembley.”

There was plenty of reaction on social media after Hull City’s team bus has a window smashed ahead of the Championship playoff final…
@studdy2k: Seen it happen, and absolute whoppers the people who threw stuff. Spoiling a great weekend with shit like this
@Leightonharri23: Hull team bus windows smashed apparently #hcafc
@MattWillisRail: #Middlesbrough #HullCity It’s the coach operator who has to pay for the glass and puts everyone’s safety at risk too. Stupidity and to cause needless expense. Idiots.
@takeaphilpill: When #saintsfc fans threw a few empty canisters that bounced off the bus we were tarnished as scum by #boro fans! The ever so classy, haughty, goody two shoes #boro fans have trashed a square and are now smashing bus windows. Oh dear oh dear. Not such a classy fanbase after all
@Connor0744: Stay classy Boro fans 😂 remember all the shit they gave us when we had chucked some cardboard empty smoke sticks at their bus? Calling for us to be charged? All Hull arent we.
@spencerbriggs15: No need for it, small minority of wankers #Boro
@Charl_H79: This is bad form mind.
@BoroMFC1996: No need for this. Hope they catch who did it.
@FPL__Courtney: Hope no one got hurt, why ruin a weekend for everyone
@kierannkater98: Didn’t they moan about used pyros being thrown at their team bus at st Mary’s and saying the EFL should punish us 🫣
@crablungs: Well, well, well. What’s the Boro morality police going to say about that? Fair game? Come on #hcafc do these crybaby bottlejobs over. #saintsfc
@Teessideracko: This is so fucking poor I hope it wasn’t one of us.
@1Jayji: It was, one person threw something as the Hull bus was turning the corner to their hotel.
@ereqx1: Will just fire them up more, this. #hcafc
@Voiceov_reason: The Boro fans never fail to contradict themselves do they? Awful bunch of gimps
@Southamptonia: Quite literally people in glass houses.. #saintsfc
@skybluecol: Ffs they get in by default and smash up a team bus 🤣🤣 Hope Mcburnie destroys them
@tittyfalar: Find that fan and arrest him a true boro fan wouldn’t do that

@HCAFC74: Don’t really deserve to be there, and now they’re smashing up our bus. Disgusting.
@JamieL_UTB: This is fucking shocking! Absolute gimps they can’t handle their drink.
@lucypritty1: Some people just have no class at all, it’s fine if you dont like Hull as a club.. but to damage the team bus and potentially put a lot of players and staff at risk is something else.. I hope everyone is alright ⚽️
@Breezy88449: Hope it wasn’t our lot… embarrassing if so!
@PinguHKR: Make @Boro pay for the damages to the hull city team bus fans have smashed the windows
@Hainsy_32: Boro fans smashing a window on the Hull bus, and they have the audacity to call saints fans disgusting. Just another reason for wanting Hull to batter them
@JamieL_UTB: Whoever that boro fan was who smashed the hull bus window you’re a grade 1 cunt.
