Hugh Jackman ‘wants to score a winner against Wrexham’ as he cheekily trolls Ryan Reynolds in an interview with Laura Kuenssberg.
The Hollywood star and actor, says that Ryan Reynolds offered him co-ownership of many rival clubs of Wrexham’s.
For many years, the two stars have been in a ‘feud’, with the Australian actor, in an interview with Laura on Laura’s Sunday show, joking that he would “stick it to Ryan Reynolds” and would attempt to win the match against Wrexham, adding he’d be willing to try out for one their rival teams.

Reynolds, who starred in Deadpool 3 as Wolverine, also refused to disclose which teams made an offer for him.
“I will admit to you that when Ryan bought that team, I did get more than one offer from rivals of that team for £1 to come in as a co-owner and it did seriously tempt me.
“This whole thing of outsiders coming in and buying football teams, it feels a little, I don’t know, easy.
“I have decided to go one step further, I am actually going to try out for the team.
“So Delia Smith, Stephen Fry, I’m coming to try out.
“I think if I really want to stick it to Ryan Reynolds, then if Wrexham get to play Norwich, because obviously there’s a level here, I think it would be best if I was heading in the winner,” he added.
When asked if he would be a canary, he joked: “It doesn’t sound intimidating, but everybody knows it’s everybody’s second favourite team.”
In 2021, Hugh stated he felt sorry for the people of Wrexham, as he and Ryan Reynolds continued to get at one another.
Speaking on Heart Radio while promoting Reminiscence, Jackman jokingly claimed the town would be experiencing a “nightmare” with Reynolds owning Wrexham AFC.
Sharing the clip via Twitter, the National League club hit back, saying “Wolverine’s overrated anyway”.
Jackman said: “Wrexham…I love you Wrexham. But I really, really feel bad for you.
“It’s like, you’re in the middle like of like the worst nightmare of all time because somehow money’s come in and attention’s come in, but at this point of the season you realise what a nightmare you’ve entered, I’m in the same nightmare.
“Because of Ryan I can’t ever wear your jersey until he’s left but, trust me, in my heart I feel for you.
“There’s not a second of any day of the week when I don’t think ‘those poor people of Wrexham, that poor town, that poor football team’. That’s from my heart.”
Jackman jokes about starting a petition to get remove Ryan Reynolds, but Rob McElhenney could stay.
