Huge scuffle leads to the 8th tier match between Avro and Runcorn Linnets being stopped for around 15 minutes on Saturday afternoon.

Footage has emerged on the flare up, following a tackle on Runcorn’s O’Mahony which resulted in Anthony Kay and Louis Potts being sent off for both sides.

It took place halfway through the second half, and as you can see below, it all got pretty nasty rather quickly.

It came with the scoreline at 1-1, Oliver Molloy putting the away side ahead on 29 minutes, grabbing his 9th goal after 12 games played.

Avro were level around 10 minutes later when Jake Cottrell sent a corner in, only for it to go untouched and straight into the net.

Then came the incident, before players eventually returned to the pitch, then Runcorn netted in the 93rd minute through Will Saxon.

The result means that Avro have suffered their third league defeat of the season, leaving them 5th in the table with 28 points from 17 games played. Runcorn are 3rd with 30 points from 17 games played.

There was plenty of talk online as the huge mass brawl leads to the 8th tier match being stopped for 15 minutes…
